I bit my bottom lip. "I'm sorry."

He waved me off. "It's nothing. They understand I found my mate. They want to meet you."

"Your Alpha?" I gulped.

He tugged a strand of my hair playfully. "Don't worry, he's not that bad. Neither is my Luna," He smiled at me. "They'll love you."

I wasn't so sure. I was a little shy around new people. The only reason I wasn't so shy around Seb, was because he was mate. And even then, I still almost ran from him.

And a shy personality around Alphas and Luna's? Well... my aura and status got paved over with their power. It wasn't a great feeling, and it made some people feel awkward.

Which just made me feel worse, and that made them feel bad and it was always a huge situation. I remember the first time I met and Alpha that wasn't Alex— an Alpha from Montana named Rylee. He was here to discuss being allies when he almost went to war with Alpha Arlis (again) when I was child.

My father was there, helping the Alpha and Luna discuss terms and conditions as well as money. My pack, in the end, decided to stay out of it.

Nobody wanted to be against the King of The Alphas.

But when I waltzed into the office because I knew my dad was in there well... Rylee's power was so strong and unusual that I backed into the bookshelf and caused a couple books to fall down and hit my head.

I cried for hours. I felt so small, so worthless. I was a quiet person, a submissive person. And Alpha Rylee was a powerful Alpha. His pack second only to Arlis. People tend to bend under Alpha power, but people who were already a little weak? Well... Alphas could walk all over you.

"Are you okay?" Sebastián asked.

I shook my head. "I get really nervous meeting new people." I admitted. "I know everyone at my pack so obviously I'm fine there but when new people, Alphas and Lunas especially, come around I just kind of... fade away? Like I'm a submissive person and then they're all big and bad."

Sebastián studied my face, almost checking to see if I was lying. "I wouldn't of guessed that." He finally said.

I tilted my head at him. "Why not?"

"How you took control, even arguing with Pierce who's no weak willed wolf, today. You faced the Beta of the Rook pack fine, you even told someone from another pack what to do." He brushed my bangs back, but they fell forward again. "I don't think you're submissive, I think you're just scared and you overthink and give yourself a type of anxiety attack."

I did, didn't I. "But that was the heat of the moment." I explained. I had to face them. I couldn't let my Pack down, my family.

Sebastián smiles softly, kissing my crown. "Adrenaline keeping the anxiety down. I'll tell Fizel to tell his parents to calm their aura down, alright? They won't mind. Luna Kasey was a cook and maid at the pack house. That's about as low as a position you can get. From what I can tell, you're not lower than that. She was almost an Omega before being an Omega became illegal."

"My dad actually has a job with the Alpha. He handles financials and some paperwork stuff. Like a treasurer. But... he doesn't get any special treatment for it." I wasn't low in the Pack rankings. Certainly no would be Omega.

Omegas were the lowest of the low. They usually had a low job and a small home. They were usually treated quite poorly. Their power was so low, that when they had their first shift a lot of the time they just... died. People didn't care because they wouldn't help the Pack. Alpha Arlis and the higher up werewolves deemed it illegal to deem someone an Omega. But you could tell, you could always tell.
