I gulp. He most likely knows about the deal we made with Namjoon. Yup, definitely can't speak to Jungkook unless I want my brains to be blasted out.

Satan smiles. "It's nice to finally meet you! I've heard so much. He places his hand out.

Mayor Jeon steps closer and also grins. "Same here!"

They shake hands and do some political chit-chat.

Why are we even here?

"I'd like to introduce you to my son, Jeon Jungkook." Jungkook shakes hands with Satan and smiles inauthentically.

"And also his fiance, Minseo." Mayor Jeon's words were like a dagger to my heart.

I didn't even notice her presence until Mayor Jeon said her name. Jungkook's Spanish-speaking fiance is in a white frilly dress and looks completely confused with her surroundings.

She says, "No sé lo que está pasando."

Satan, Taehyung and Jungkook look puzzled, but Mayor Jeon translates.

"She says she's excited to be here!"

He lied. She said she doesn't know what's going on.

Satan smiles again. "Anyways... This is my son, Taehyung!"

Taehyung looks scared for his life as he shakes Mayor Jeon's hands. "Nice to finally meet you, Sir," he lies.

"And this is Taehyung's girlfriend, Y/n!" Satan exclaims.

"What?!" Me and Taehyung turn towards him, then look at each other, confused.

"Yes, they're dating," Satan gives a stern look. Taehyung hurries to grab my hand and intertwines our fingers.

Jungkook stares at our hands and he looks... annoyed.

I was angry at Satan. Why would he pressure Taehyung to say this? Satan knows Taehyung's one true love is Jimin...

I look at Taehyung's face. He pouts his bottom lip and looks so sad.

I glance at Satan and he looks absolutely fine. Gleeful, even. Was he enjoying Taehyung's misery and slapping this "relationship" in his face because he knows Taehyung can't be with Jimin?

Everyone looks at me expectedly, and I fall under pressure.

I recall that Taehyung said that the safety of everyone at this party was at stake... Was he serious?

"Y-yes. Me and Taehyung are dating." I gulp.

I could feel Taehyung tremble next to me and I tighten my hand to show him that I was by his side.

Satan smirks. "Don't these two make a lovely couple?"

Mayor Jeon nods in agreement.

I could see Jungkook clenching his fists.

It was awkwardly silent for a few seconds, but Mayor Jeon breaks the quiet.

"That suit doesn't seem to be fitted well on your son. Are you having financial problems?"

Mayor Jeon was trying to find point out any weaknesses his political opponent had.

Satan cocked his head. "No. Taehyung just prefers to wear hand-me-downs. He hates being wasteful but loves looking out for the Earth."

A total lie but it made Satan's family look environmentally conscious and thus, more woke. Check and mate.

It was quiet again. I could feel Jungkook staring at mine and Taehyung's fingers intertwined. His blazing gaze made me flustered and I looked at the ground.
