Chapter 10

The day of the engagement came and went in a flash and its been a week now since Taehyung was adorning a ring on his ring finger which made him feel like he belonged to someone

He was in his bed and unusually awake and he was hugging onto his pillow while playing with his engagement ring, he could still remember his friend jimin cooing while looking at the rings while his mother was glaring at him. Knowing his mother he knew that she somewhat got the idea of who selected those and she wasn't happy about it at all.

Taehyung still remember his mother's exact words she said to the jungs while they were having lunch together, two days later

"I am so sorry for my son's selection, I know its not upto your standards but he is willing to change them, right Taehyung" his mom asks with a fake smile

Taehyung sighs and with sadness within him, he was about to say yes when he hears his fiancé speak up

"mother, are you implying that my selection of rings is not that good?"

Both Mrs.kim and Taehyung look up with shocked expressions for two entirely different reasons

"oh, Hoseok-ah....i am so sorry, I didn't mean it like that, Taehyung didn't tell me that it was your selection, I must say you have good choice when it comes to quality" his mother smiles while saying that

"thank you mother, it was OUR choice and since we are the ones wearing it, I thought that, that was enough"

"yes yes that's exactly right" Mrs. Kim replies and hen Jaehee noona's husband Soomin hyung interrupted to break the tensed atmosphere

Remembering, Hoseok being all defensive for him made him smile and bury his face in his pillow, still touching his ring, he removes the pillow from his face and looks at his phone on the side table

Hoseok steps out of the bathroom after taking a nice hot shower and was now standing in his walk in wardrobe, looking for the suit to wear today to office, he was running his hand through his suits when his eyes fall on his ring, he retreats his hand and looks at it and realizes that in a time of a month, now three weeks, there will be someone else in this apartment of his, in this personal space of his and that person will stay there FOREVER.

Hoseok feels something strange about that thought, the thought of letting someone in for a time of forever felt unreal to him till this very moment but the ring on his finger was making him realize that it was more than real

His thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of his phone and he realizes that he was still in his towel, he walks to his bedside table to see the caller id

Hoseok groans and reminds himself not to let Jungkook anywhere near his phone again

"hello"

"good morning hyung"

"good morning Taehyung, slept well last night?" Hoseok asks, remembering that Taehyung went with his noona and his mother to look at the wedding venue

"yes hyung, yesterday wasn't that tiring" Taehyung replies, getting what the elder meant "amm....hyung?"

"yes Taehyung" Hoseok replies while plugging in his Bluetooth to his ear so that he could get ready while talking to Taehyung

"hyung thank you for making time to meet jimin hyung" Taehyung thanks the elder remembering how they were meeting up today evening with jimin and hoseok's two friends, since they didn't get much time at the engagement to engage in a proper conversation
