GALE'S POV
I can feel the color drain from my face as I look away. I can't believe what i have done to her. I can't even bare to face her
"Look at me!" she yells
"I'm sorry" i say
Her eyes change from rageful to hurt
"So it's true?" she asks, disappointed and angry
She stares at me in shock, then backs up slowly, finally i look at her
"Katniss please, i'm so sorry. someone jumped me outside in the gardens yesterday, they said that if I killed Bare, that they could guarantee your safety. I turned off his oxygen because i knew a nurse would be in shortly, he had a better chance of survival" i feel the tears stream down my face
"Is he-"
"No, he's fine. I guess so much has happened to him since we've been here, that death is walk in the park" she says angrily
"Katniss, please i really didn't want to but they would kill you if i didn't-"
"I DON'T CARE!" she yells, smacking me across the chest, then she runs out, slamming the door behind her
In begin to cry. Not because she smacked me, but because I tried to sacrifice her son for her. She would never stand for that
What have i done? I finally got Katniss back in my life! She trusted me with her children's lives! Not only will she hate me, but i will NEVER get to see her children again. I love her children, especially Oakley
The anger builds up in me, i can't believe i did that! I throw my fist into the wall ragefully over and over again

I wake up on the floor to a pound on my door. I scramble to my feet, hoping it's Katniss
As soon as I open the door, im thrown against the wall. Its Haymitch
"What did you do!" he yells punching me across the face, i wince in pain
He must have been really loud because a few seconds later, a handful of soldiers rush in
"You almost killed Bare!" he growls
Haymitch pushes me to the ground and pints at me
"You will NEVER go near Katniss, Bare or Oakley again" he says sternly. Then he turned sharply and slams the door behind him
Gustan helps me up and looks questioningly at me
"What was he so mad about?"
"Don't worry about it... let's go get Peeta"
k so I originally wanted it to be peeta who came and fought Gale, buuuut the timing didnt work out very well and i have some.... "other" .... plans for Peeta
