PEETA'S POV
After we rounded the first corner, Katniss and I ran into Plutarch (literally for me) and he showed us into the meeting room.
"Welcome" Paylor said casually, Katniss and I took a seat at the massive oval table, I was next to haymitch.
After the meeting, Katniss and I made our way back to our room, as soon as we stepped in, Bare ran towards me.
"Daddy!" he yelled, his light blonde, curly hair bouncy with each step. I reach down and pick him up. Even though Bare is 4, he is very small for his age so he still nestles perfectly In my arms
"What's wrong Bare?"
"Oa'ly is hurtin' my ears" he said, burying his face in My chest, I chuckled lightly, Oakley was small but boy was he fiery
"Do you want to go to the rose garden, Bare?" I ask, Katniss jumps a little, I know that's where she last talked to snow
"Why don't just you and I go, Bare?"
"Mommy's not coming?" He asks
"Mommy and Oakley will stay here with grandma"
Bare wiggles out of my arms, and grabs my hand, leading me to the door
"We'll be back in a little bit" Katniss smiles and mouths 'thank you'.
Bare pulls me around the mansion a little bit before he stops dead in his track
"I lost" he says with tears in his eyes, I bend down beside him
"It's ok Bare, Daddy can find the garden" he wipes his crystal blue eyes and smiles up at me
"Yay!" he shouts, slipping his little hand into mine
We walk around the halls until we finally run into Plutarch
"Where's snows rose garden?" I ask
"You mean Paylors rose garden?" He asks, fake offended
"I'll show you" he says motioning down the hall
We walk a few more minutes until we get to the back door leading into the gardens
"Thank you" I say to Plutarch. I grab Bare, bringing him to the center, a beautiful circle, alive with roses of every color
"Good to see that they didn't stick with the white" I say
"What Daddy?"
"Oh nothing... look at all these colors Bare!" I say
We go around the gardens for while, nobody else is there, it's just me and Bare. Which is odd because there's usually at least 3 guards, maids, or servers around at all times.
While bare and I sit there (him telling me about his favorite flower) I hear a faint buzzing noise, I ignore and put my focus back on Bare, but after a few minutes the noise gets louder. Finally I look up, but by then it's too late
