KATNISS' POV
"Bare!" i scream running toward the screen, Gale grabs my arm
"Katniss hold on, Beetee is trying to get them to see you also" i back up, wait and listen to Bare say whatever they are telling him through the earpiece
finally Beetee gives the signal, Bares face lights up
"Mommy!" he yells, the guard smack his shoulder and pain fills his eyes
I wince. What are they doing to him that smacking him hard doesn't hurt enough to make him cry?
I look over at Gale, his face turns from pity and sorrow, to hateful. His fists clench so if he were to squeeze any tighter, surely his fingers would go straight through his palm and his eye twitches
"Where's Peeta?" he says angrily
"I don't know" Bare says, tears filling his eyes, I push Gale aside and get back into frame
"Bare its okay, you can tell mommy" tears trickle down his cheeks, he looks at the ground
"Gone" he says, so quietly i can barely hear it
My heart sinks, tears start to force their way out
"W-what?" i say shakily, Haymitch steps forward and pulls me out of frame. I start to thrash around
"Peeta!" i scream, Haymitch puts his hand over my mouth as I swing my arms back and forth
He brings me to my room, flings me on my bed and runs for the door. Just as i catch up, he closes and locks it from the outside. I just stand there, pounding and screaming

I sit in there for what feels like an hour, finally there is a knock on my door. I refuse to respond. I just lay on my bed and sulk
After a few minutes the door unlocks, and the person who walks in startles me a little bit
"Finnick" i say hoarsely. He walks over to me, and sits on the side of the bed
"Hi Katniss"
"But.. but.. You died" i say, my heart starts to race and the tears trickle down one by one
"No, i didnt" he says
"I was brought back to the capitol after they found me, i'm here now" he said
"What?" Finnick frowns
"Not excited to see me?", i can't believe it!
For a few moments i let myself believe that my long lost friend has come back from the dead perfectly fine. Then he looks at me, there is a hint of conniving in his eye. But no charm, somethings wrong. Very wrong
"You know katniss, they told me what happened" he said, getting closer
"What?" i ask, a little surprised because he seems mad
Then he pulls his hands out and throws them on my shoulders, he pushes me to the ground.
I try to stand but he kicks me in the gut
"You tried to kill me!" he yells
"No!" i say crawling over to the door, he grabs one arm in each hand, throwing me against the wall
"Yes! You threw that holo at me and it nearly killed me!"
"I was trying not to let you suffer!" i scream, trying to get free
Finnick spins me around, my neck tightly gripped in his arm
"You tried to kill me, and now i will kill you" he says, then he twists his hands tighter around my neck as i scream
"Katniss!" I hear Haymitch call, my eyes widen as he unlocks the door and rushes to my bed
"Are you okay?" he asks, my palms are sweaty
"Yeah it was just a nightmare, im fine"
"I need to tell you why i locked you in here" he says pitifully
"We needed to negotiate, talk to them, anything to keep them on long enough to get their locations. Your screaming, crying and thrashing wasn't helping us" he says, i nod
"Your mom wants you" i nod again and climb out of bed, heading to the center room

"Mom, your kidding right?" i say, i feel a lump in my throat
"I'm afraid not" she says, trying to stay calm
"But, this... i cant... I" im not sure how to get the words out of my mouth
"Katniss, don't work yourself up" she says. How can i not?! My mom just told me that they received confirmation of Peeta's death
i got no death threats last chapter, buuuuuuut I know imma get one from petra this chapter, shes been trying convince me not to kill off peeta but the plot twist is too good to give up..... also i wasnt going to update until tomorrow, but its easter! so happy easter everyone!!!
