His response was as unyielding as his gaze. "Nope, we're not on the same page there. Remember your stunt yesterday? Well, because of that, you're grounded. So, if you're going out, you're taking your personal entourage with you. If you don't agree, then you're staying put. Take your pick – hang out with your pals or hang out at home."

My frustration hit peak levels, and I couldn't help but stomp my foot again. "Seriously? You're putting me under house arrest now?"

"I AM NOT STAYING IN HOUSE ARREST."

"Fine, bodyguards are outside our home. Go watch movie. They are waiting." He said calmly and start doing something on his phone. Ok if you're being smart I can be too.

"Fine, they can come." He smiled and hand me a card.

"Take this and have fun. But don't get in any trouble."

"What is it?"

Kong's smile was heartwarming. "It's a credit card – one I made for you."

"What? ....I mean why? I have my own card. I can't take this. This is your money. I have my own to spend." My bewilderment was clear.

Kong's tone was gentle but resolute. "I know, baby. But take it. Before me, you managed your own finances. But now, you're my boyfriend, my love, and soon to be my partner for life. It's my job to take care of you."

I didn't want to come off as ungrateful, but I couldn't help but argue. "But I can't just splurge your hard-earned money. You've worked for it. I've not contributed anything yet. I can't accept this."

Kong's voice held a hint of determination. "You're not wasting it. I'm earning for us, and it's supposed to be used for us. If it's not, what's the point? You're not just my lover, Arthit, you're my partner. And that means I'm responsible for you.  Do you want me to feel incompetent man who can't even provide for his lover. "

"No, you are not incompetent. I'll take this. But I'll use it if I really need it. I'll use my own money for now." He smiled and came close to me. He kissed my forehead and lightly hugged me. My heart swelled with affection for him, and I felt myself giving in.

"I'm fine with that. Just take care of  yourself outside. Don't talk to strangers. Don't take anything to drink or eatables from them. If anything happens call me immediately. And don't even think to dodge your bodyguards. I'll know if you do that. You'll be in a big trouble baby if you do that." I just look at him with my big eyes while he was rambling all this. Is he reading my mind. Did he become a mind reader.

"Kong, I am not a child ok. I know what to do. For God sake I am not a teenager." He sighed and hugged me.

He sighed, his fingers gently tracing patterns on my back. "I know you're not a child, but I can't help but worry. You'll be out there without me."

I lifted my head to look at him, a fond smile on my lips. "Don't worry, old man. I'll be with my friends. And don't be such a worrywart."

"Ok, and don't be a foul mouth." I laughed and pecked his lips.

"Bye, I'll be fine. I love you." I said walking towards the door. He replied after me.

"I love you too. Have fun and be back before dinner."

Ugh, seriously, Kong can be such an old-fashioned worrywart sometimes. I brushed aside his words and waved my hand dismissively as I made my way to the door. I swung it open, fully expecting to be met with the bustling streets and the freedom I so desperately craved. But instead, I was met with two giant figures that made my heart sink – my brand new bodyguards.

These guys were massive, like real-life hulks standing right in front of me. I gulped audibly, my bravado faltering as I realized that trying to dodge them now would be a terrible idea. I mean, if I even attempted it, they'd probably catch me and squash me into a pancake.
