Ashton:

I wonder if he knows how much that I miss him

I hang on every word you say

And you smile and say, "How are you? "

I say, "Just fine,"

It was dark in your room at this god forsaken time of the night. But it was the only time Ashton was available to talk to you. So you'd set the alarm and managed to make your hair look somewhat presentable in the five minute window before Ashton said he'd call you. You sat up, turned the lamp on your bedside table on and put in your earphones. You squinted at your phone through tired eyes hoping you wouldn't fall asleep during the call. Though when seconds turned to minutes, and minutes turned to half an hour, you eventually fell asleep with your head leaning back against the bed frame. The buzzing of your phone on your lap startled you and your hands brought the screen up to your face immediately. Upon seeing it was Ashton, you accepted, and a bright but guilty smile welcomed you. "Y/N, did I wake you up? I never should have called," he started to ramble. "I fell asleep waiting for you," you mumbled and he bit his lip. "How are you?" He asked with a smile, but you didn't smile back. "Just fine," you managed to say. "You're not, I'm so sorry. I got caught up-" "as always," you cut him off coldly. "I was thinking about you the whole time, I honestly don't remember a word anyone said because my mind was on you and wha-" "do you have any idea how much I miss you?" You cut him off again. He sighed, "I miss you too, I want you here," he replied quickly. You couldn't stare at the bright light from your phone any longer, so you closed your eyes. "I'm really tired, and the screen is bright," "I'll go to a dark place," he was out of his seat immediately. "I need to sleep," you told him and he stopped walking. "Okay, I'll call you tomorrow, when you're awake," he said and you nodded. "You need to know I love you, do you still love me?" He asked quietly, with a tone that told you he was truly unsure of your answer. "Of course I still love you," you assured him and he smiled. "I'll be with you soon," he promised. "And we can real kiss, not just video chat kiss," he giggled, which made you smile. "Can't wait," you replied, which was enough to make him blush. "Bye, I love you," he told you again. "Love you too." You fell asleep soon after with your phone and earphones tangled in a terrible mess under your blankets.

Calum:

I watch superman fly away

Come back I'll be with you someday

I'll be right here on the ground

When you come back down

It didn't quite register in your mind until the plane was completely out of sight. You'd just said goodbye to Calum as if he were leaving for the afternoon, though in reality, he'd be gone for over 6 months. This tough reality hit you like a tidal wave, and your tears seemed to burst out in waves soon after. You felt a hand on your shoulder, and turned quickly to see your friend. She wrapped her arms around you. "He'll be back soon," she cooed, rubbing circles over your back. "I didn't give a proper goodbye," your words were muffled by her shirt. "It's better for him that you seemed okay. It would be eating him alive if the last thing he saw was you crying," she told you and you nodded. "I bet he's crying more than you right now," she tried to joke, but it only caused another tidal wave. "No, no!" She hugged you tighter. "He'll be back before you know it," she assured. "I can't believe I just watched him fly away," you said and she nodded. "I know, but when he gets back, it'll be like he never left, you know that, right?" She asked. "I hope," you mumbled. "He's only just left, but all that's left for me to do down here is wait."

Luke:

And you'll leave, got places to be and I'll be OK

I always forget to tell you I love you, I loved you from the very first day

"Luke, I never thought you'd actually be leaving," you shook your head in disbelief. "Me neither," he mumbled, staring down at his shoes. "What will I do without you?" You asked him seriously and he smiled. "What will I do without you? I need you more than you need me," he added and you scoffed. "You're going to be living your dream, and I'm going to be bored to death here without you," you argued and his arms were around you before you registered he was moving. You stood on your tiptoes to wrap your arms around his neck, and you felt his nose nuzzle into the hair just above your ear. "I will call you every day, so often that I'll possibly drive you mad," he whispered sweetly. "More insane than you make me already?" You asked and he giggled. "Yes, to make it all up to you." Soon enough you were watching him pull his luggage behind Michael, Ashton and Calum, who seemed more than eager to board the flight. "Bye Luke!" You waved and he stopped in his tracks. He turned around and bit his lip once he saw you waving frantically and looked back to the boys once more before dropping his luggage and jogging towards you. "Luke?" You walked towards him slowly and met him in the middle. "Can I just-" he placed his hands on your cheeks. Your eyebrows furrowed. "I forgot to tell you something," he mumbled. "Well quick, your pla-" "I love you," he took a step closer and his lips were on yours before you even registered his words. Your lips, luckily, responded quicker than your brain, and he was so relieved you were kissing him back. "Lucas!" You heard Michael shout, "finally." He pulled back with a smile. "I love you too," you said and he showed off his dimples. "I'll be back soon," he said before he kissed your cheek and ran after the guys, who were all applauding.

Michael:

And I watch you fly around the world

And I hope you don't save some other girl

Don't forget, don't forget about me

I'm far away but I never let you go

Michael had always been there for you. From the time he carried you and your scraped knee from the swing set back to your house when you were six to when he beat up that guy who was all over you at Calum's 16th birthday party. Together you saved each other, you kept each other strong. So when it was time for him to leave, you were terrified if you both were actually able to exist without the other. It took all of your friends and family and Calum's threat to literally use a crowbar to get you both apart, but there was nothing you could do once you saw his plane disappear into the clouds. After months of being apart, the separation didn't seem to get any easier for you. But Michael's pictures and tweets made you think he was coping perfectly fine without you. In an attempt to brighten up your mood, your friend decided to force you on a shopping spree, and you were currently waiting impatiently next to the toilets for her. You felt a buzz in your pocket and picked up your phone on the first ring. "Michael!" You tried to sound happy. "Y/N," he begun. "I'm so sorry for not calling or picking up the past few days, it's been hectic," he apologised. "I'm aware," you replied coldly. He sighed, "You know I'd do anything to be home with you right now?" He asked. "Really? It seems like you've been fine without me," you mumbled. "No," he answered sternly. "So you haven't forgotten about me?" You asked, trying to come across as if you were joking, but genuinely concerned about his response. "Y/N, I miss you like hell," he answered. "Its going to sound really strange, but I miss your voice in real life. It's not the same over the phone," he added shyly. "I wanna jump through the screen right now," you joked and he pouted. "Maybe if you close your eyes and count to three you can teleport me over there," he smiled and you rolled your eyes. "One, two, three," then you felt two arms snake around your waist. You squealed and spun around quickly to meet Michael's green eyes. "What?!" You yelled, wrapping your arms around his neck. "You're magic," he whispered and your friend cheered from around the corner. "How did?" "You can thank me later!" You heard your friend shout, who you later realised organised the meeting. "I spent these few days organising to spend the weekend with you, I couldn't survive another day without you," he spoke quietly into your ear. "Kiss me," you blurted out, your eyes widening once you realised what you said. He smirked, "gladly," he mumbled before you felt his soft lips on yours.
