He walks down the long dark road
Darkness consumes his soul with every step
But yet, he still walks and walksSearching, searching for that something
Or that someone that will make his life complete
Yet not knowing what or who it isDespair and grief claw at his core
Heartache consumes his being
Indifference is what he strives for
Trying to lessen the ache he feels deep insideFriends are there yet not around
They try to understand what's wrong
But how can they if they're not paying attention?
He can't even seem to understand it himselfBut he wishes someone will finally ask him
Ask him what's wrong as if they cared
A voice in his head asks what he wants
And he just wants to scream out loud, "to be happy!"
But he's notHe's become too overwhelmed and weary with his life
He just wants his life to take a pause
'Cause it's just not the way he wants it right now
He wants to escape, to run away'Cause the hardest thing for him to do now
Is waking up every morning
With a tear stained pillow and an angry solemn frownSorry Dear Heart, for the damage I caused you
Sorry Dear Mind, I should have listened.
