[2 days later]

Maahir's car stopped at a distance away from the Sarna House waiting for Pratham as he strictly instructed Maahir not to enter without him. In order to kill the time, Maahir decided to give a call to Kuhu.

M : "Kuhu main Sarna House ke bahaar hu!"

K : "News channel par phone karke batadu ke tum waha pohoch chuke ho taaki vo aaye aur tumhaare naye ghar ke griha pravesh ka live telecast kar sakey?"

M : (understood the sarcasm) "Tu hamesha aisa hi karti hai mere saath. Main to yaha aana hi nehi chahta tha vo to Bulbul ne thora... Is Pratham ke bachche ko na main sach mein..."

K : "Pratham ko kuch mat bolna because he did a fabulous job aur kaisi roni si awaaz lekar mujhse baat kar rahe ho? Aisa lag raha hai ke sasural ja rahe ho jaha tumhaari saas tumhaara jeena haram karne ke liye bethi hai."

M : "Saas nehi hai maamisaas to hai aur meri biwi ka to bas chale mujhe truck ke neeche dhakka de degi."

K : "Tere paas vo hai jo inme se kisike paas nehi hai aur vo hai teri beti. Jabtak vo hai na tujhe koi kuch nehi kar sakta hai."

M : "Ha ye baat to hai! Is ek baat ke liye na Iam very thankful to Bela. Kya beti paida ki hai usne. Tu na meri biwi se tip le liyo, tere bhi aise bulldozer bachche paida honge."

Just then Maahir saw that Pratham's car had already arrived and so he disconnected his call with Kuhu. On seeing Maahir already waiting, Pratham came out of his car and looked at Maahir who was standing making a face with his luggage in one hand and Pratham also noticed that Maahir was looking at him in such a way as if he was ready to devour Pratham, if given a chance. Pratham looked at his face and giggled out loud and said, "Mujhe pata hai tera dil mujhe kha jaane ka kar raha hai par main tere pet mein fit nehi aaunga na yaar." Maahir replied, "Teri vajah se ye naya siyappa chaalu hua hai meri life mein. Is aurat ko mujhe 6 mahine jhelna parega teri vajah se. Main to raazi hi nehi tha lekin Bulbul ne na bola to main mana nehi kar paaya coz I love her." Pratham punched on Maahir's hand and replied, "Zyaada naatak nehi karna Bulbul ne tujhe bola nehi harkaaya hai aur beta you love her mother too. Abhi chal teri saas aur teri beti aakhe bichaaye tera intezaar kar rahe hai." He looked at Maahir who was still glaring at Pratham and so he pulled Maahir by his arm and walked towards the Sarna House.

When Maahir stood at the door step, Pratham, at first called Bulbul to come. Bulbul, that particular day had woken up early in the morning and had got ready to welcome her father and she was heavily excited about it and she didn't even sleep properly since the last night and nor did she allow Madhu to sleep properly and also for a whole day she didn't talk with her mother as she was very angry at her and Bela too didn't bother it as she was too occupied with the thought of Maahir staying under the same roof. Madhu had already prepared everything in the morning for Maahir's grand welcome and when he had finally arrived with Pratham, Bulbul's happiness had no limits. She came running to him and jumped over him and Maahir too picked her up in his arms and Bulbul hugged him tight and said, "I love you love you love you love you love you daddy!! Main aaj bohot bohot bohot bohot bohot zyaada khush hu." Maahir replied, "Khush to main bhi hu baby lekin... you know..." Bulbul got so angry on seeing Maahir's shakiness that she stared at him for sometime and then asked him to put her down and then she angrily asked, "Daadi aapko bachpan mein dudh nehi pilaati thi?" Maahir nodded his head and replied, "Ha pilaaya tha!" Bulbul put her hands on her waist and said, "To phir aap itne darpok kaise ho sakte ho? Daddy aap mere daddy ho The Bulbul Sehgal ke, mere rehte huye agar aap aise daroge to ye to meri insult hui na and you know I don't forget my insult. Aap is tarah se mera reputation nehi bigaad sakte ho. Meri mamma ko dekho, meri jaisi bold hai aur aap ekdam phattu types. You can't be like that! Be brave and behave like my daddy!" Pratham said to Maahir, "Bhai baat to sahi hai tu Bulbul ki reputation nehi kharaab kar sakta hai." Bulbul made a very proud face and seeing that Maahir gave a smile and said, "Main dar nehi raha hu its just itne saalo baad mujhe Bulbul ki mamma ke saath waapas se rehna par raha hai to you know thora ajeeb lag raha hai isse zyaada aur kuch nehi." Bulbul replied, "Agar aisi baat hai to na ekdam Indian filmo ke hero ki tarah ek dhamaakedaar entry maarna aaj aur vo bhi sunglass ke saath. Ekdam mere daddy type jisse kin a saare dekhte reh jaaye." Maahir squeezed his brows and said, "Really??? Done!!" Maahir took out his sunglasses and then said to Bulbul, "Ab dekhna apne daddy ka jalwa." He put on his sunglasses and then addressed everyone inside the house, "Bhai ghar ke bare jamai aaye hai. Koi swaagat nehi karega hamaara?" Madhu was almost running towards the door and everyone were already there but on hearing his voice Bela and Mrs Sarna too came out in the hall. On seeing Maahir, Bela made a face and looked away from him. At first, Madhu did Maahir's aarti and took his evil eyes and then Maahir touched her feet and asked, "Saasumom main agar abse aapki beti ko pareshaan karu to aapko koi problem hogi?" Madhu put a hand on her own cheek and replied, "Haaye rabba!! Menu ki problem hai? Biwi teri hai ab tu isko pareshaan kar, ke tu isse jhagra kar ab ye sab tum dono ke aapas ka maamla hai." Maahir replied, "Mujhe apni bachchi ki zindagi ke un beeto huye 8 saalo ka badla lena hai aapki beti se, aise hi to main usko chorne waala hu nehi." Bulbul pulled Maahir's hand and replied, "Zyaada nehi pareshaan karna meri mamma ko, varna main aapko pareshaan karna shuru kar dungi nehi to. Meri mamma thori si monstrous hai par achchi hai and I love my mamma." Madhu looked at Bulbul and said, "Arey teri ma se to tera baap bhi pyar karta hai aur tere alava puttar teri ma ko zyaada pareshaan karne waala aaj tak paida nehi hua hai." On the other side, Mrs. Saran was about to leave when Maahir called her and said, "Maamisaasji main aapka bara jamai hu, aap apne jamai ke saamne agar meri izzat nehi karengi to isse aapki reputation society mein down nehi ho jaayegi? Aur isse aapke samdhi kya sochenge? Aapko to meri sabse pehle aarti utaarni chahiye thi after all ye aapka ghar hai." Mrs. Sarna glared at Maahir and wanted to say something when her eyes fall on Pratham and she had to remain quiet and seeing that Pratham whispered to Maahir, "Tune to meri saas ko bhi chup kara diya." Maahir whispered back, "Agey agey dekhta ja bas! Teri saas kya meri aur meri beti ke saath ulta seedha karne waale har kisiko agar maine seedha nehi kiya to mera naam bhi Maahir Sehgal nehi aur teri bhabhi ka to main khaas khayaal rakkhunga." Mrs. Sarna came to Maahir and then took the thali from Madhu's hand and did Maahir's aarti and seeing that Bulbul was staring at Mrs Sarna as if her eyes will just pop out of the hole as she never imagined anyone else could make Mrs. Sarna do something like that. Mrs. Sarna said, "Hamaare ghar mein rehne to aa gaye ho lekin tumhaari yaha par na vahi aukaad hogi jo is ghar mein ajnabiyo ke saath hota hai." Maahir immediately replied, "Well... abhi aap chahe ya na chahe main hu to aapke ghar ki beti ka ek lauta waala pati matlab aapka jamai. Agar aap mujhe apna jamai nehi maanengi to mujhse bhi saas waali respect ki ummeed nehi kijiyega. Vaise bhi main yaha apni bachchi ke liye aapki nakchari bachchi ko jhelne aaya hu lekin agar kisiko meri kadar nehi hai... that's fine with me, mere liye meri beti aur meri saas hi kaafi hai. Vaise bhi galti aap logo ki bhi nehi hai, sarvgunsampann jamai aajkal milte nehi hai na to kadar bhi nehi hoti hai." Bulbul looked at her father with so much proud that she couldn't decide what she should do on seeing her father's attitude and she said, "Dekha daddy mere saath 7 days kya rahe aap bilkul change ho gaye, aaj na aap bilkul Bulbul Sehgal ke daddy types dialogues maar rahe ho. I'm so proud of you today." Mrs. Sarna returned the thaali to Madhu and said, "Main bhi dekhti hu ke mere ghar mein tum rehte kaise ho itne din. Agar maine bhi tumhe yaha se nehi nikaala na to main apna naam badal dungi." Maahir immediately held her hand and said, "Oh please maamisaasji, I'm telling you agar aa paisa kar paayi na to mujhse zyaada khush is duniya mein koi nehi hoga. Kyuki pehle to ye ke mujhe meri so called biwi ke saath rehna hi nehi hai aur dusra agar main yaha 6 mahina khatam hone se pehle nikla na to main akela nehi jaaunga, court order ke mutaabik meri bachchi bhi mere saath jaayegi." He said all those things very excitedly and his eyes too were glowing. Bela, who was standing far away was getting very happy thinking that at least she's not alone against Maahir but the moment when Maahir reminded them of the court order, Bela had to put aside her so called 'hatred' for Maahir and then said, "Maami please ye sab bandh kijiye aur usko andar aane dijiye, hamaare paas dusra koi option nehi hai aur vaise bhi subhe subhe mujhe ye saara tamasha achcha nehi lagta hai." At last, Maahir kept his step officially as a 'son-in-law' inside the house and then Bulbul said, "Pata hai aapke chakkar mein maine abhi tak khaana bhi nehi khaaya, mujhe itni saari bhukh lagi hai." Maahir replied, "Maine bhi na jaldi ke chakkar mein khaana hi nehi khaaya, bhukh to mujhe bhi lag rahi hai." On listening to that, Bela said, "Of course bhukkad baap ki beti hai, bhukh to lagegi hi, bigaadne mein to papa ne koi kasar chodi hi nehi hai." Bulbul made a face and seeing that Maahir angrily replied, "Mrs. Sehgal, I know you don't like me par vo kya hai na main bhi koi mara nehi ja raha hu tumhaare saath rehne ke liye. Main sirf Bulbul ke liye yaha par aaya hu aur main to usko apne saath lekar hi jaaunga aur khabardaar agar meri bachchi ke khaane par nazar daali to." Bela turned her face away from him and was about to leave when Bulbul held her hand and said, "Mamma aap please mere daddy ke saath jhagra mat karo, vo to sirf 6 months ke liye aaye hai na aur main to aapke saath bhi rehna chahti hu na mamma, aap dono ke saath to please fight mat karo." Bela replied, "Beta tum shaayad hum dono ke saath rehna chahti ho lekin main tumhaare daddy ke saath nehi rehna chahti hu aur is janam mein ye possible bhi nehi hai. Tum jaao, abhi tumhaare life ke sabse favourate person tumhaare saath hai na. You just go and have your food." Bulbul knew that her mother sometimes gets mad at her but that day, for the first time, after Maahir re-entered her life, Bulbul saw something in her eyes which neither she understood nor she could digest as she never saw that look in Bela's eyes which was very different according to her. Bulbul slowly left her mother's hand and Bela left from there and after she left, she sadly made a pout and hugged Maahir by his waist and Maahir said, "Koi baat nehi puttar, main hu na. Aapki mamma na hamesha se aisi hi thi nakchdhi." Bulbul replied, "Par mamma ne aisa mere saath kabhi nehi kiya hai pehle." Maahir picked her up in his arms and said, "Kyuki vo jhalli hai, paagal hai, vo kya hai na main yaha par aa gaya hu to bas vo thori si cheedhi hui hai aur kuch nehi. Vo thori der baad thik ho jaayegi." Seeing Bulbul still upset, Maahir said, "Aise muh nehi saraate hai puttar, ye to aapki mamma ka signature expression hai. Abhi chalo chalkar khaana khaate hai." Saying he took her with him as he followed Madhu to the dining room.
