"I hope everyone finds their cherry pie."
Ai is the lovliest person you'll ever meet. She's kind, accepting, helpful, and quite pleasant to be around. Her best friend is Rosie, but she'll get along with just about anyone. She works at Tom Nook's store, along with James. She has big aspirations to find her dream, which she calls her cherry pie, and she thinks she found it here, living in Animal Village.

"I'm Yū, from the nearby village. Sometimes I come here to play."
Yū is the local from Treehut, the village nearby. He has a good heart, but he can also be reckless and tend to not think ahead. He's quite the average boy; he loves exploring, fossil finding, and going on adventures. He's also notorious for changing his outfit almost every time you see him. He's not mean, but he can be a little bit of a prankster, specifically for his pitfall seeds. He's also very friendly towards everyone, but is a little bit jealous of James.
