Life encompasses a rollercoaster of emotions. There will always be good days and bad days; it is impossible to escape either. Some people might say that their worst experience in life was an unpalatable breakup with the one they thought they would grow old with, or a familial death. For me, it was on a school trip in my senior year of high school with my ecology class. Going on a seemingly resplendent and captivating vacation should make memories of a lifetime, and it certainly did, but not for reasons you would expect. I will never forget the individuals we lost in those six fateful days in the jungle.
