"Papa?!" Taehyung called as he ran into his father's office.
His father looked up from his work his glasses perched on the end of his nose and his brow still furrowed in concentration but his expression couldn't help but soften at the sight of his adorable little son.

"At school today, one of the bigger boys showed me around. His name's Jiminie. Can I be friends with him?" Taehyung asked sweetly. He'd always been taught to ask for permission to make friends as his parents didn't want him to become friends with the 'wrong sort'.
"What's Jiminie's surname?"
"Park" Taehyung told him.
"I'm sorry Taehyungie but you can't be friends with him"
"Why?" Taehyung asked, sitting in the massive chair in front of his father's desk.

"Mama and papa don't get on with Jiminie's parents" his father explained.
Taehyung pouted and sighed "what about Jungkookie?"
"Taehyung we've talked about this, you should never talk to that boy ever again. He is nothing but trouble"

Tears started rolling down Taehyung's cheeks "I wanna be friends with Jungkookie though"
"Taehyung, Jungkook's parents will not permit him to be friends with you either so don't turn on the waterworks with me I can't do anything about it"
Taehyung nodded and walked out the room, dragging his feet.

"Mama, why can't I have friends?" Taehyung asked his mother later that evening.
"You can have friends Taehyungie"
"But papa always says no when I ask him"
"Why don't I invite over my friends son and you can be friends with him? How does that sound"

Taehyung clapped his hands excitedly and was back to his cute happy self, he would finally have a friend.

A week passed before his new friend came. The boy was a lot older than him but Taehyung was determined to make this boy his friend.
"Taehyungie this is Yoongi, say hi"
Taehyung looked up at the boy and the boy glared back down at him with an intimidating stare. Taehyung hid behind his mother's legs causing both his mother and Yoongi's mother to laugh.

"Aw, isn't he just precious" Yoongi's mother laughed.
"He's just a bit shy. Come on Taehyung, say hi"
"Hi" Taehyung whispered, his voice barely above a whisper but just enough to be heard.
"Taehyung why don't you take Yoongi upstairs to your room while we talk"
Taehyung nodded and gently grabbed onto Yoongi's hand, led him to his room.

Yoongi looked bored in the small five year olds childish room.
"Are you going to be my friend Yoongi?" Taehyung asked shyly.
"That's Yoongi hyung to you, brat" Yoongi snapped, glaring at him.
Taehyung's bottom lip trembled slightly as he tried not to cry in front of the older boy "s-sorry Yoongi hyung"
Yoongi sighed and his expression softened "sorry kid, it's just I have so many better things to do right now yet I was dragged here to meet you"

Taehyung tilted his head to the side as he listened to Yoongi.
"Well let's make your time worth it Yoongi hyung" he beamed "what do you want to do? We could watch a movie. Papa loves movies he has millions"
"Uh, yeah sure"
Taehyung clapped his hands excitedly and ran to a cupboard in his room "these are all my movies" he exclaimed proudly but they were all kids movies that Yoongi wouldn't be interested in except for one.
"What about Insidious?" Yoongi suggested.
Taehyung's eyebrows furrowed "I've never heard of that one"

After some persuading, Taehyung agreed to watch the unknown movie. Needless to say he was terrified. After the first couple of jump scares he was already in tears and grabbing onto an annoyed Yoongi for dear life.
"Hyung, it's scary" Taehyung cried.
"It's a horror movie, what did you expect?"
Taehyung just cried louder.

"Shh" Yoongi hushed gently not wanting to get into trouble for making the younger cry "it's okay, hyung is here. Nothing will happen to you okay?"
Taehyung nodded and wiped his tears off his cheeks. Yoongi sighed and pulled him in for a hug, trying to comfort him.

"Can we play something else hyung?" Taehyung asked after he had calmed down.
Yoongi nodded "but I don't want to play any of your little kid games"
"Can we play monopoly?!" Taehyung exclaimed excitedly.
Yoongi agreed to the game and they played it for hours, Yoongi winning by managing to cheat Taehyung out of half of his properties.

"it's not fair" Taehyung huffed.
"What? That I won? that's how life works Taehyung"
"I don't like life"
Yoongi chuckled at him "you're such a sore loser"

"Boys!" Taehyung's mother called from downstairs "come down!"
Taehyung ran downstairs with Yoongi following not far behind.
"Were you guys having fun?" Yoongi's mother asked, a big smile on her face.
Both boys nodded.
"Well we were talking" Taehyung's mother began "and we discovered that you will both be attending the same school. Isn't that exciting?"

Taehyung nodded excitedly but Yoongi couldn't be any less interested. He enjoyed spending time with the 5 year old but he didn't want to be hanging around him in school where he would be bullied for it.
"Yoongi, I want you to look out for little Taehyung, hmm?" Yoongi's mum told him.
Yoongi nodded begrudgingly.

"We'll call you down when we have dinner" Taehyung's mother told them and then both the adults walked out of the room.
"Yoongi hyung?" Taehyung said looking up at Yoongi.
"What?"
"You're my best friend" He smiled and gave Yoongi a hug. Yoongi didn't have the heart to push him away but he did not enjoy having a child clinging to him.

Taehyung was quite depressed when Yoongi had to go but his mother assured him that Yoongi wouldn't be gone for long.

I hope you all enjoyed the second part of the prologue technically. Don't worry, the two boys will meet soon and then things are going to get a whole lot more interesting. I want to thank you guys for all reading this book and you don't know how happy it makes me. So thank you.
