~ten~

I wake up by someone aggressively shaking me. "Wake up!" I hear Daniel say after the tiredness is so ridley taken away from me

"Your sleeping heart" I say through my tiredness

"What?" Daniel says with a dumbfounded look

"Its from a song" I say as I slowly stand up. I didn't think anyone would know the song,  heck no one even knows the band

"I know sometimes we'll be afraid" a smile formed on my face when he said this

"But no more playing safe, my dear" I continued

"So wake up" he sang this line, and boy can this kid sing.

"Your sleeping heart"

"And we will dream a dream for us, my dear"

"I'm here, so wake up" by this time, we were basically screaming, except ya know it was early morning, so we were quiet about it.

"Did you get clothes from Anna?"

"Um not yet, I just woke up, remember?"

"Oh, yeah, um get clothes from her so we won't be late"

"Ok, see ya in a few Daniel"

"Bye Ash" he says as he closes the door. I walk over to the closet and look at Anna's clothes. I settle on the black high waisted ripped jeans, a white crop top with small light tan stripes across it, and a small denim jacket. Then I slipped on my black converse and walked out of her bed room.

"Hey wait Ash" I hear Anna say

"Yeah?"

"What shoe size do you wear?"

"8 and a half, why?"

"Well I just figured wedges would look better with that outfit, but you don't have to wear them, I wear and 8 and a half as well" she says as she holds up black wedges. I make the decision to switch my black converse with the black wedges.

"Wow this does look a lot better" I say as I look in her full length mirror

"I knee it would" Anna said with a smile. "You look really good in that, nice call"

"Aww thanks Anna" I say as I walk out of the room, and down the stairs.

"Woah" I hear Daniel say when he sees me.

"Stop drilling over her Dani" Anna says with a smirk when she gets downstairs to us.

"Shut up Anna" he say, punching her arm lightly

"I don't hear any denial"

"What was there to deny?" This made me and Anna start laughing.

"Shshshsh" Daniel says putting his finger up. "Dad's right there on the couch" he said quietly, pointing to his father on the couch. I look at him, and he looks REALLY familiar. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it will hit me eventually. "You ok Ash?" Daniel says, shaping me into reality

"Um yeah" I say shanking my head

"Well let's go to school then" he said as he opened the door for me and Anna

We didn't talk much when we walked, but Daniel's hand brushed mine quite a few times.

And I'd be lying if I said I didn't have the urge to hold his hand.

"Hey Ash" I hear Corbyn say when I grab my book from my locker. "You look nice today" he says to me

"Thanks" I say with no emotion behind it

"Your still mad, figures" he said as he turned to walk down the hall way to his first period class

"What was that about" Daniel asks after he comes to my locker

"I don't know and I really don't care" I say as I shut my locker just a little bit hard. In other words, I slammed it shut.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Daniel says, puting his hands on both of my shoulders. I didn't say anything. I looked into his ocean eyes and fell into some sort of trance. I didn't think I was capable of felling this, it's only been just over a week since I caught Corbyn cheating on me with Christina, and yet something was pulling me in. We were both leaning in, our lips just barely brushed each other, when the bell rang.

"Um time for class I guess" I say awkwardly

"Yeah" he says as he looks to the ground. We both turned in opposite directions so we could go to first period.

As the bell signaling second period rings, me and Daniel walk past each other in the hall. Now when I tell you he had a real big goofy smile, I'm not lying or exaggerating. But I am pretty sure I radiated his smile so I have no room to talk. I looked down and a little laugh escaped my lips. Ok by 'laugh' I mean that I exhaled quickly with a smile on my face. "So you and Daniel then?" I hear Corbyn say

"Just leave me alone" I say as I walk faster down the hall. I sit in my second period and read my book, when it hit me. I figured out why Daniel's father looked so familiar is, he's the guy my mom has been bringing home for the past few weeks. I let out a shakey breath
