Her heart raced in her chest, and she became anxious, thinking that this beautiful stranger in front of her would think that she is weird or something of the sort. Felix blushed, his ears heating up furiously as he glanced at the person on top of him. The girl bashfully pushed herself off of him and looked away, too shy to even face him. Felix got up, and the girl handed him his camera. He gasped and inspected his precious baby for damage, and headed back towards her. That’s when he noticed that she was also clutching a camera—which is weird, because he thought it wasn’t there when they fell.

“You liked photography too?” he asks her in English, hoping that she could understand him, since he was still a bit rusty in his Korean.

The girl seemed to relax when he brought this up, as she smiled softly at him, her face slowly draining the red flush, but maintaining their natural pinkish tint. “Yeah. I’ve liked it since I was a child, actually. Uhm...are you okay? I got a little distracted and wasn’t looking where I was headed,” she replies in the same language, and Felix sighed out of relief.

“I’m fine, I wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings either,” he says. “What’s your name?”

“(Y/N),” she says with a small giggle.

“My name’s Felix, from Australia,” he smiles. “It’s nice to meet someone else who’s interested in photography. There aren’t that many nowadays.”

(Y/N) nodded, “It’s kind of sad to be honest, if you ask me. Photography is such a wonderful thing, and I wish more people would enjoy it.”

“Exactly,” Felix started playing with the shutter of his camera when he thought of an idea. “Hey, would you be interested in taking pictures together? If you want, that is.”

“Of course,” she smiled.

“But, the thing is...” he scratched the back of his neck feeling a bit shy.  “I’m not from around here, and it’s only my first day here in Korea. I’m too dumb of a person to bring a map, and I forgot it at the hotel my parents booked for me.”

(Y/N) giggled at his cuteness, “It’s okay, Felix. I know some pretty cool spots around here that are perfect for photos.”

“That sounds awesome!” he grinned. “Lead the way!”

The duo went around Haedong Temple, taking pictures here and there. Felix was amazed when (Y/N) had shown him a rocky cliff that was connected to a large body of water. He began taking lots of pictures, and the girl had to stop him from taking too much because he was rapidly running out of film.

“Damn,” Felix says. “I should’ve brought my digital camera with me. I’m gonna go broke with all the film.”

(Y/N) giggled. “Sucks to be you, then.”

“Hey!”

(Y/N) led the both of them to a small forest after boarding a bus to the Gamcheon Culture Village. They weaved through the trees until they were both standing at the bank of a large marsh. It was a beautiful shade of green and blue, bathing in the sunlight with lavender, cattails, and goldenrod surrounding the place. There were a few lone ducks swimming around the small pond, and Felix almost squealed at the cuteness of the animals. He began taking pictures of the scene, the ducks while his mouth hung agape at the natural beauty. (Y/N) took some pictures as well, sitting down on the bank and using her own camera to capture the water and the clear blue sky, the tips of the leaves and the still life.
