jace's point of view

i woke up to the sound of thunder and rain outside. i turned around to look at my clock.

2:37 AM

i got up and walked to the bathroom sighing. i looked at myself in the mirror.

"this is what you've wanted for the past 5 years Jace. you finally have what you want. don't screw this up" i thought to myself as i rubbed water against my face

i really can't believe this all has happened. i thought i lost chloe and our children... forever

i suddenly heard whimpers outside in the hallway. i stopped washing my face and turned the water off.

"chloe?" i asked confused

"daddy!" i heard ava cry. i immediately ran outside the bathroom and into the hallway and saw her full of tears holding her blanket. i hugged her tight

"what's wrong? what happened? did someone come in?" i asked worried

"n-no the thunder is s-sc-scaring and i'm scared" she tried to speak but continued crying

i sighed in relief and laughed a little and brought her back into my room with everyone and laid down and cuddled her as she snuggled into my chest. i smiled even more and let the sleep take over me

i woke up with someone in my chest. i opened my eyes expecting to see ava but i saw chloe snuggled into my arms which made me smile. i looked up and saw the kids playing in the middle of hallway in the small living room set up with a tv, couches, tables and rugs. i smiled and held tight to chloe. about 5 minutes later she started moving. i felt her cold hand touch my toned stomach

"jace?" she said sleepily

"yes babe" i asked playing with her hair

she got up and turned around. i know she was looking for the kids as soon as she looked at me

"their in the hallway" i smiled at her pulling her back down into my chest

"i really don't wanna go home" she said looking outside at the rain and thunder

"me neither" i said "you should move back in here" i said smiling at her

"i wish but that's too much for the kids. just meeting you two months ago and traveling 45 minutes here every time and they'd have to switch schools and leave their childhood home" she sighed

"your right. we'll give it time" i said "sooo-"

i was interrupted by a thud outside

"ava you stupid little b-"

"michael james ortiz hold that word" i yelled and got out of bed and ran down the hallway "what happened?"

"ava threw my tablet over the railing!" he yelled

"because you wouldn't turn down the sound!!"

"so you threw his tablet?" i asked

"..yeah" she said

"noo!!" michael yelled looking downstairs

"what happened n- ohh that ain't good" i looked down at his shattered tablet

"you owe me a new tablet!" michael yelled at her

"hey hey i'll get you a new one right now" i ran to my office with them following and called my assistant, Richard in

"what can i do for you today sir" he asked me

"please set one of the men out to the Apple store to buy the latest ipad in gold with a nice protective case, thank you" i smiled

he nodded and walked out and chloe came in

"please tell me you did not just-"

"yes i brought him a new ipad"

"jace!" she yelled at me

"chloe i could buy you a new house if you wanted. spending $800 isn't a big deal for me and you know that" i told her

"of course" she smiled sarcastically at me "guys start packing your stuff we can't stay here forever"

"noo!!" they both yelled

"i need my new ipad!" michael yelled as i laughed

"i'll drop it off on my way to work tomorrow buddy" i told him smiling

"fine" he pouted as me and chloe laughed
