Bloodhound (Goblin slayer x female reader)

Y/N POV:

The sun started to get up and shine upon the land.
Birds sang their morning songs of happiness.
Big trees loomed around us as we quietly neared to our destination.
We stopped in front of the goblins nest.
Well, maybe the word 'nest' is not the right word.
It had a square entrance of white stone that bulged up from the ground, other half buried in the earth.
This was no cave, but a man-made construction that was abandoned a long time ago.
At the entrance stood two goblin guards with a tamed wolf.
I looked around to see, maybe, they had a second entrance here, but it seemed, that this was the only entry in front.
Elf huffed.

"Goblins with a wolf as a guard dog...? The nerve..."

Next to her Goblin Slayer commented.

"It shows the horde has resources to spare. Otherwise, they'd have eaten it."

"Is this safe? It's almost evening.

They'll be active. Why not tomorrow?"

"Our Twilight is their dawn."

I said quietly to the elf and looked at the guards.

"...Fine, then. Here goes..."

The archer drew an arrow like it was her usual routine.
I quickly glanced at her weapons.
They did not use iron, so everything was hand made and gained from nature.
The shafts of their arrows were made of tree branches..
Heads were animal teeth and for the feathers were used leaves.
High Elf Archers bow was taller than her, but she handled it with ease.

'She knows archery better than any of us. I presume they were already taught in their leaf diapers.'

I snickered from my wild imagination.
Cute baby elves with an arrow and leaf diapers.
SO CUTE!

"That was amazing!"

Priestess whisper-yelled in my ear, bringing me out of my thought train. Elf puffed her chest in the satisfaction of the compliments she was getting.
I looked confused, but then glanced at the entrance and saw the dead guards and wolf.

'Huh...I zoned out for one second and
I miss the spectacular archery skills...'

I pouted but immediately moved forward after Goblin Slayer.
We neared their corpses.

"All right let's go!"

Elf chirped while pointing at the ruins entrance.
Then Slayer got his knife, kneeled in front of the corpse and opened up the goblin.
The elf stiffened and asked shock clear in her voice.

"H-How can you do that to them? I know you hate goblins, but you don't have to-"

"They have an excellent sense of smell, especially for women and elves."

I said while backing away.

"YOU'RE KIDDING! NO WAY!! S-SOMEBODY STOP HIM!!!"

She hugged the Priestess and looked at her pleadingly.Only to see blondes dead eyes.
