Chapter 38

Miyeon giggles softly with a shy grin as she looks back down to the drink that's cupped between her hands on the table. I grin over at her, loving how adorable and shy she is right now.

"You know you didn't need to do that, Tae. Your job is important and you need to make sure you're spending plenty of time there." Miyeon mumbles shyly. I frown at her, running the pad of my thumb over the back of her hand as our fingers stay laced together.

"You're a million times more important than my job will ever be, baby. That job is demanding enough as it is. And, quite frankly,... I need to actually talk to you about my job." I tell her with a soft sigh. She gives me a curious look in return.

"What is it, Tae?" She questions in a gentle tone, her grip on my hand tightening ever so lightly. Swallowing hard, I glance down at our hands locked together, terrified for how she's going to react when I tell her.

"Miyeon, I'm actually part of a band. We're... we're pretty well known across the world, actually. The-my six friends you've met a couple of times now? They're the other six members, and it's why the seven of us actually live together. I just... I need you to know that, if you're still okay with this and that you still want to be with me after knowing this, I need you to know that there's gonna be times where we've got fans approaching because of me and that the world is gonna start to get to know you too. I... I understand if you don't want to still be with me because of all of this, but you needed to know this going forward. The only reason I didn't tell you at the beginning was because I was afraid you'd know us and I didn't want anyone getting close to me just because of that." I explain, not glancing up to meet her eyes once.

"Of course, I still want to be with you, Tae. I figured there was something going on that I didn't know about when I met the six of your friends and knowing that all seven of you lived together, but I have no room to be holding a grudge when I hid shit from you before too. I don't care about any of the other shit as long as I'm with you." Miyeon responds softly, causing me to look up at her with wide eyes. I can't help but grin at her.

"Thank you, Miyeon. I... I love you, baby." I whisper quietly. She just grins and giggles shyly once more, glancing down at our hands before back up at me.

"I love you too, Tae."

Jungkook POV

"They look so happy together." Jimin comments softly, gaze locked on the couple that's sat on the other side of the café and more towards the front than where we are. I just smile down at my drink, nodding my head.

"I think he really is happy with her. I think she helped him a lot more than any of us realize, and I'm really glad he found her. She truly is extremely kind to him, even if they both got hurt along the way." I tell him, glancing back over to him as I finish speaking. Looking around the table, they all nod in agreement with small smiles on their faces.

"I'm happy for him. After all the shit he's been through, he deserves to have found a good girl for himself. I'm glad things worked out for the two of them and that they got back together." Namjoon hyung says quietly.

"I'm just glad we all managed to sort things out. It's gonna be a long road to completely rebuild his trust and his self confidence after all the shit that's happened. But, we've finally got him back and he's got his girlfriend back, and I think that's exactly the support he needs to be able to fully make a complete comeback." Jin hyung responds, glancing at Namjoon before looking around at the rest of us. We all nod in response.

"If nothing else, I'm just glad he's happy again. He's on the way to recovering from the low he hit, and he's certainly got a good girlfriend to have his back in everything. All that matters to me is that he's happy now." Yoongi mumbles with a soft smile as he keeps his gaze on the brunette sat at the booth near the front of the café with his girlfriend.
