"Hey!" I jump in surprise by the sudden voice, before being caught off guard as I'm pulled into a tight hug. Relaxing as I realize it's the brunette from this afternoon, I smile a bit as I wrap my arms around her gently.
"Hi, Miyeon. Thank you for meeting me even though it's late." I tell her quietly. She smiles, shaking her head.
"Tae, really. Don't worry about it. I told you before. You don't have worry about what time it is. Seriously, I'm free whenever you need me to be and I'm always happy to hang out with you." Miyeon says softly, smiling up at me as she brushes a strand of hair out of my face. I feel my cheeks heat up a bit, eyes and nose crinkling up a bit as I smile back.
"Now. Do you wanna talk about it first and then have some fun? Or have some fun and then talk about it?" She asks, taking a step back as she looks up at me with a sweet devious glint in her eye. I frown, humming softly as I think.
"Let's just have some fun and then maybe we'll talk about it." I answer. She giggles quietly, nodding her head before taking my hand and running off with me in tow. I squeal in surprise, stumbling as I try to keep up suddenly with her.
"What the hell are we gonna do and where are we going?" I manage to chuckle out as we run off to who knows where. She doesn't answer me, continuing to drag me until we reach a certain alley. We suddenly slow down, her bringing us into the alley. I look around curiously, surprised to find the walls covered in different paints and drawings.
"Woah..." I mutter as I look around. She simply smiles, gently bringing me over to a pile of spray paint cans. My eyes widen at the sight, looking up at her in surprise.
"Go on. Pick whatever colors you want, draw whatever you'd like. Go on." Miyeon says excitedly. I can't help but smile at her excitement, kneeling down and picking up a can.
"Isn't this vandalism though? Ya know, illegal?" I question, looking up at her. She sighs, rolling her eyes a bit at me.
"It'll be the start to getting you out of your shell again. Getting you to feel and funnel your emotions. You want that right? It's unhealthy to keep all that shit bottled inside, Tae." Miyeon says softly. Biting my lip, I nod my head before standing up. Just seconds later, I'm spraying whatever's flowing through my head onto the wall in front of me. At first, my motions are slow and hesitant, though it doesn't take long before I'm enjoying it.
"It looks great, Tae." Miyeon smiles as she looks over at me. I blush a bit as I set the paint can back down from where I'd gotten it.
"Nothing like yours." I mumble, rubbing the back of my neck shyly.
"Come on. Let's go get something to eat and then we can talk about it. Yeah?" She suggests with a smile, taking my hand and leading me out of the alley. I simply let her lead me as she brings us down the street a bit and into a small convenience store. Looking around curiously, I let her continue to lead me through the shop as she picks up different little things here and there. It's not until I really glance over at her that I realize she's shoved everything she's picked up into her hoodie. Chuckling softly to myself, I grab her hand to stop her before she picks up anything else. She looks at me in confusion before I'm pulling all of the things out of her pocket and taking it to the front counter to pay. I hear her storm out to my right, surprising me, though I keep quiet. Once I've paid for the things, I take the bag and walk back out.
She snatches it from my hand before storming off once more, and I'm left to merely follow along behind her. Miyeon soon calms down though, waiting for me and taking my hand before leading me off to somewhere else. I'm happily surprised when we finally stop at a park.
"Here. I was picking half of this up for you anyways. Now, tell me, Tae. What's going on that got you in the need to get out for a bit?" Miyeon says, handing me a bag of chips and a couple other small things. I sigh quietly, taking the couple of items and open up the bag of chips first.
"Umm... I don't really wanna talk about this, but I doubt you'll let me get out of it anyways. Essentially what happened was that I went home and fell asleep since I wasn't feeling super great from hitting my head earlier. When I woke up, my best friends that I happen to live with were talking about me just outside my room and essentially shit talking me. Which, doesn't feel much better than my boss telling me straight to my face that I'm doing shit work." I mutter quietly before shoving a few chips in my mouth. She frowns in return, seeming a bit surprised by my words.
"What were they shit talking you about? And what was your boss saying that you're not doing good enough?" Miyeon asks, surprise evident in her voice. Sighing, I lower my head.
"Everything. Literally, everything. That I'm not working hard enough, that I'm too weak, that I've put on too much weight, that I don't deserve my job or their company anymore. Just that I'm a fucking failure at everything I do." I breathe out, squeezing my eyes shut tightly so as not to cry again. I feel her gently place a delicate hand on my shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. Hesitantly opening my eyes, I look over at her.
"Well,... I would say, maybe try to put some more time into your work. If they don't want to help you get better then they can go fuck themselves. You've got me. And, I don't think you're a complete failure, Tae. You're an amazing person who's got a lot of potential for a lot of things. Just work as best you can and show them what your made of. And if they try to argue with you, they can go fuck off. You can tell them off. They have no rights to bitch at you."
