Jolting awake at six in the morning, my eyes are wide in panic before I recall what day it is. Sighing in relief at the fact I'm not late or anything, I lay back down on my back as I feel my heartbeat slowly begin to return to normal.
A small smile tugs at my lips at the thought of today being the day I finally get to spend time with Miyeon. Though, it quickly dissipates as all my concerns and worries begin to return, the reason for my unsettled sleep for the last couple days now.
"Tae?"
My head snaps to the side in surprise, caught off guard by Jungkook laying there with his head turned to me, eyes wide awake. Rolling my eyes, I return my gaze back to the ceiling above me.
"What, Jungkook?" I ask bluntly, not in the mood for talking to any of the six of them. Even if Jungkook has been acting concerned all of the sudden.
"You okay?" He murmurs quietly, voice soft enough that I almost miss it. I scoff at the question, finding it to be quite stupid at this point.
"Fine. Just thought it was a work day." I answer shortly, my voice fairly void of any emotion. I hear him sigh, though he doesn't say anything further.
Growing frustrated by just laying here in his presence, knowing his eyes are on me, I get up and head over to my dresser to pull out a pair of jeans and a black tee shirt. Heading off to the bathroom, I quickly freshen up and get dressed before quietly going downstairs and grabbing my shoes. Slipping them on, I step outside and head off to the park where I'm meant to be meeting Miyeon in a couple hours.
As I walk, I pull my phone out and send her a text, letting her know I'm on my way and that I'll be waiting for her when she gets there later on.
Humming softly when I reach the park, I look around and find a bench to sit down and wait on, hoping for the small possibility of being able to fall back asleep. Though, I'm not sat down for more than five minutes before I see a familiar figure walking my way. I sit up straighter in surprise, watching with a tiny smile as she grows closer.
"What're you doing here so early? I thought we weren't meeting till 8:30?" I question softly, standing up as she finally arrives. She smiles in return, wrapping her arms around my waist as she gives me a hug in greeting.
"I could say the same to you who was the first one to be here early." She giggles quietly against my chest. I sigh softly, kissing the top of her head without thought before feeling my cheeks heat up in shyness. Pulling her head away from me a bit, she smiles up at me before finally releasing me as we sit down.
"So, what exactly is it that had you up so early?" She asks softly as she sits down beside me, curling into my side a bit. I bite my lip, feeling a tad shy with how close and cuddly she's being, though I certainly don't mind it.
"Just panicked. Thought it wasn't Sunday and that I was waking up late. Couldn't fall back asleep knowing my roommate was awake and keeping an eye on me for whatever his dumbass reason was." I answer quietly, wrapping an arm around her to provide her with a more comfortable position. She snuggles closer almost instantly, causing me to smile once more despite how tired and frustrated I've been.
"Then what's causing you to have such a troubled sleep? Normally, you should be sleeping straight through the night, especially with how busy you are and how hard you're working yourself." Miyeon questions, looking up at me with a curious expression. Looking away from her, I sigh and run my free hand through my hair.
"There's something that I really need to know, Miyeon. I just... I don't really wanna ask it." I explain quietly.
"Tae, you can always ask me anything. You don't need to be afraid of asking me something." She says gently, causing me to look back down at her. I purse my lips, weighing my options for a moment before sighing once more.
"Are you... Are you gonna leave me too? When you end up losing interest in me like everyone else has... are you gonna leave me?" I speak, forcing the words out through my tight throat as I feel the familiar burning in my eyes despite no tears appearing. She frowns almost instantly, shaking her head in response.
"No, Tae. No, I'm not like everyone else you've had around you. I'm not going to leave like everyone else. You're not alone anymore, Tae."
