Chapter 8

B : "Daddy main bol rahi hu."

M : "Bulbul mera bachcha!! I was waiting for your call. Aapko pata hai aapne uswaqt phone kaat diya aur mujhe explain karne tak ka mauka nehi diya."

B : "Mujhe naani ne sab bataya hai. Mujhe pata hai ke aap mamma se bohot pyar karte ho lekin vo chipkali aapke peeche pari hui hai na isliye aapko usse shaadi karni par rahi hai."

M : "Beta vaisi baat nehi hai actually... I should not speak all these things to you aap bohot choti ho aap samajh bhi nehi paaogi."

B : "Mujhe samajhna bhi nehi hai, main bas ek baat jaanti hu ke meri mamma aur mere daddy ek dusre se bohot pyar karte hai aur mujhe apni life mein dusre mamma papa ki koi zarurat nehi hai isiliye chahe mujhe kuch bhi karna pare, main ye shaadi nehi hone dungi."

M : (amused at the way Bulbul spoke and so he teased her) "Agar aisi baat hai to aapko meri shaadi rokne ke liye India aana parega na."

B : "Ha to aa rahi hu na main vo Suhaani maasi ki shaadi hai na, to isliye main aur naani India aa rahe hai."

M : (could not believe his ears and was super excited) "What? Kab?"

B : "Pata nehi kab par mamma to mujhe aane nehi dena chahti hai kyuki unko lagta hai ke main Delhi mein aate hi aapko dhundhne beth jaaungi jo meri mamma chahti nehi hai. Isiliye yaha thora maamla set karna parega."

M : (worried) "To agar mamma aane nehi degi to kaise aaogi?"

B : (with full confidence in her voice) "Bulbul ki marzi ke khilaaf usko rokne ki himaat khud God mein nehi hai. Agar maine socha hai ke main aaungi to mamma mujhe khud Delhi ki flight mein bithaayegi. Par uske liye thore papad belne parenge na aur ha main pehle se hi keh rahi hu main Sunhaani maasi ke ghar mein nehi rahungi, main aapke saath rahungi."

M : (happily) "Of course ye bhi koi kehne waali baat hai? Bulbul apne ghar mein hi to rahegi. Oh God!! Mujhe to kitni saari tayyari karni paregi."

B : "Daddy don't be so panic!! Par ek baat promise karo ke mujhe saari Punjabi khaane khilaaoge aur ye jo mamma mujhe angrezo ka khaana thoosti rehti hai vo aap bilkul nehi karoge."

M : "Whatever you ask for Bulbul, aap jo kahogi vaisa hi hoga. Arey Punjabiya angrezo ka khaana nehi khaate hai."

B : "Ok bye daddy!! Main abhi phone rakhti hu mujhe bohot neend aa rahi hai."

M : "Ok bye!!"

After disconnecting the call, Maahir was so excited thinking that he will be finally seeing Bulbul for the first time in his life that he was about to leave for shopping for her at that time. That night, out of excitement, he could not sleep properly. In the morning, he got ready for office on time and on getting to office, at first he went to Kuhu's cabin, where surprisingly he found Anu sitting and having a chat with Kuhu and Rohit. Maahir wanted to talk to Anu but she completely ignored him and seeing that Maahir would have felt bad if it would have been any other day but that day he was too happy to give any importance to Anu. Kuhu asked,"Kya baat hai Maahir aaj bohot khush lag rahe ho?" Maahir replied,"Vo Bulbul India aa rahi hai." Both Kuhu and Rohit were surprised and together they uttered,"What!!" but Anu was shocked. Rohit asked,"Kab aa rahi hai vo?" Maahir replied,"Pata nehi kyuki Bela usko yaha aane nehi dena chahti hai isliye usne kaha ke pehle usko apni ma ko pataana parega. Socho gayi bhi mujhpar hai, apni ma ko pataayegi." At the next moment, he made a face and said,"Just imagine!! Us aurat ne na matlab meri tarah meri bachchi ki zindagi bhi na jhand bana kar rakkhi hui hai. Zaalim aurat kahiki!" While talking about Bela and Bulbul, he forgot that Anu was still there and Anu, on hearing Bela's name got up and walked out right away and seeing that Rohit followed her. Kuhu said to Maahir, "Tum na kabhi kabhi ye bhul hi jaate ho ke kiske saamne kya baat karni hoti hai." Maahir replied,"Main kya karu Kuhu? Main usse baat karna chahta tha magar usine mujhe ignore kiya. Mujhe nehi pata hai ke meri beti jisey main pehli baar milne ja raha hu usse milne ki ye khushi chupaayi kaise jaati hai. Maine usko sab sach sach bataya tha and I know uske liye ye bohot shocking hai. Par Bulbul mere liye per ki koi daali nehi hai jisey main kaat kar phek sakta hu. Vo meri life ka sabse bara sach hai. Mera aur Bela ka rishta khatam ho sakta hai lekin mera aur Bulbul ka rishta kabhi bhi khatam nehi ho sakta hai, kamsekam is janam mein to nehi. I know she needs to handle this and she can have all the time she wants." On the other side, Rohit stopped Anu and she asked,"Tum mujhe kyu rok rahe ho Rohit?" Rohit replied,"Meri baat pehle sun to lo." Anu nodded her head and sarcastically said,"Mujhe kuch sunna hi nehi hai, dekha nehi Maahir kitna khush hai kyuki uski beti aa rahi hai. Usne ek baar bhi mere baare mein nehi socha. Bulbul ka yaha aana matlab Bela ka yaha aana aur kya pata ke vo Bela jaan bujh kar usko yaha bhej rahi hai taaki vo waapas se Maahir ki zindagi mein shaamil ho sakey. 8 saalo baad vo phir se mera pyar mujhse cheenna chahti hai." Rohit said to her,"Dekho Anu agar usko aisa karna hi hota to pehli baat to vo kabhi India chor kar hi nehi jaati aur 8 saalo tak usne apni beti ko uske papa se dur rakkha hai to vo achaanak Maahir ki zindagi mein waapas se shaamil hone ke liye aisa kyu karegi? Aur vaise bhi Anu chahe tum is baat ko kitna bhi jhutlaane ki koshish karo lekin Bela aur Maahir abhi bhi husband wife hai, Bela ko Maahir ki zindagi mein daakhil hone ke liye Bulbul ka istemaal karne ki koi zarurat nehi hai. Phir Maahir agar chahta na to Bulbul ki baat tumse chupa bhi sakta tha lekin usne aisa kuch nehi kiya, usne saaf saaf tumhe sab kuch bataya hai to phir tum Maahir se kyu gussa ho? Isme us bichaare ki kya galti hai?" But Anu was in no mood to understand any logical point of view and replied,"Main abhi kisi bhi cheez ki mood mein nehi hu Rohit, main chalti hu." Saying Anu left from there and Rohit returned to Kuhu's cabin and found Maahir almost grabbing Kuhu's hand and pulling her out of her cabin and Kuhu said,"Maahir shopping karne mein bohot time lagta hai aur upar se larkiyo ki shopping..." Maahir replied,"To phir main tumhe aaj ke din ki chutti sanction karta hu abhi tum chalo kitni saari shopping karni hai, naye kapre, naye video games, naye khilone aur ha uska room bhi to set karna hai. Abhi mere ghar mein bachcho ka alag kamra to hai hi nehi, room tayyar karna parega, paint selection. Bohot kaam baaki hai yaar abhi chal." Kuhu agreed and and said,"Ok, tum car nikaalo main abhi aa rahi ho." Maahir nodded his head and asked her to come soon and then left from there. After Maahir left, Kuhu asked Rohit,"Tum Anu ke peeche gaye the na to kya hua?" Rohit replied,"I tried to explain her par vo sunne ko tayyar nehi hai and of course, Anu se main kisi logic ki ummeed bhi nehi karta hu. Main reality mein nehi chahta hu ke in dono ki shaadi ho par I just want ke ye inkaar Maahir ka khud ka ho aur kisi emotion mein aakar vo ye decision na le balki purey hosho hawaz mein ye decision le. Koi bhi rishta na kisi bhi misunderstanding ke vajah se nehi tootna chahiye, after all vo dono itne saalo se friends bhi to hai." Kuhu gave him a smile and replied,"I don't know, tum aisa soch kaise lete ho. Iam so lucky to have you in my life." Rohit chuckled and said,"Achcha abhi jaao varna ye Maahir phir se tumko dhundhne yaha aa jaayega." Kuhu agreed and then left from there.
