twenty - seven

i guess i'd have to back off taeyong and jaehyun. i don't deserve them. all i deserve is a protective brother.

"hey sooah." jaehyun throws an arm over my shoulder, "johnny said you had something to ask me." do you really have a girlfriend? is what i wanted to ask. "oh it's nothing i already resolved it." i say.

"jaehyun c'mon let's go." we both look back, she was a cheerleader, her name is chaeryeon or something like that. jaehyun smiles briefly before leaving me, all alone. it was deja vu all over again. except it wasn't taeyong leaving me, it was jaehyun this time.

i turn my music louder, but continue humming to it. i skip along the sidewalk smiling.

at least now i knew he really did have a girlfriend. "sooah." i look back as water is thrown out right before me. i look around trying to find anyone familiar. who just called out my name? that's freaky. goodness, it might be a guardian angel of some sort.

i continue skipping. i didn't really know where i was going i just kept following my legs. my legs stop in front of home. wow. i let my legs decide where to go and they decide to go home. of all places.

i open the door throwing my backpack onto the floor. i open the fridge and grab some strawberry yogurt and granola. halfway through eating i get a text,

baekhyun:
i'll pick you up at seven. is that alright?

soosoo:
yeah that should be fine

gosh how could i forget about that? i quickly finish up my yogurt before running to my bedroom.

i throw on a dress my mom bought me for formal. i never went though because i didn't want to look dumb. i hum doing makeup. i never really did makeup, but it made me look older, and i kinda liked it.

i pull my hair into an elegant low bun. i sat on the couch eating potato chips. the time was dwindling down to seven and i was getting nervous.

what if tonight's the night i get killed? what if baekhyun is bringing me to get killed?
