The 'Un' Attached String

Chapter - 7

It was 9am in the morning, when Anu entered Kingston's office immediately after her flight landed at Delhi as she went abroad to attend her cousin's wedding. She was so eager to meet Maahir not because of her love but because of her obsessive insecurity towards him as she thought someone might snatch him away from her. When she went to Maahir's cabin she didn't find him there and on enquiring, his secretary informed Anu that he went for a meeting and so she decided to wait in his cabin till he returned. Anu was busy reading magazines, when suddenly she heard the sound of a phone ringing and when she checked for the sound of the ring, she found that Maahir had forgotten his phone in his cabin. She took the phone and found that the number was saved against the name 'BULBUL'. Anu had an informer in the office whom she appointed to keep an eye on Maahir's activities and so she knew about the Bulbul fiasco but the one thing that she didn't know was that Bulbul being Maahir and Bela's daughter. So, she decided to teach Bulbul a lesson and picked up her call.

A : "Hullo!!"

On hearing a stranger's voice on her father's phone, Bulbul was confused

B : "Kaun bol rahi ho?"

A : "Tum kaun bol rahi ho?"

B : "Main daddy ki beti bol rahi hu."

A : "Kiske daddy ki beti?"

B : "Dimaag se dhakkan ho kya? Main apne daddy ki hi beti hu."

A : "Sab apne daddy ki hi betiya hoti hai."

B : "Main sabke nehi apne personal waale daddy ki beti hu aur mera naam Bulbul hai."

A : "Oho!! To tum hi ho vo jisne Maahir se baat karne ke liye purey office ko ek taang par khara kar ke rakkha hua tha. I know everything about you."

B : "Very good!! Tab to tumhe ye bhi pata hoga ke ye mere aur daddy ke baat karne ka time hai aur kisi dusre ka phone uthaana bad manners hai."

A : "Really?? To ab mujhe tumse manners ke baare mein seekhna parega? Jo larki aise hi kisiko bhi apna daddy banaale you know manners usko seekhna chahiye jo tumhaare parents ne tumhe bilkul bhi nehi seekhaya hai."

B : "Tumhaare saath mujhe manners dikhaani bhi nehi hai abhi chupchap na mere daddy ko phone do."

A : "Listen Miss whoever you are tumne mere Maahir ko bara pareshaan kuya hai mujhe pata hai. Par mera Maahir na bohot shareef hai isliye shaayad usne tumhe daata bhi nehi hoga aisi badtameezi ke liye."

B : "Mere daddy sirf mere hai aur meri mamma ke hai aur kisike nehi."

A : "Oho my poor baby!! Tum jis Maahir ki baat kar rahi ho vo mera hone waala husband hai aur bohot jald hamaari engagement hone waali hai aur phir shaadi bhi ho jaayegi so please jis kisine bhi tumhe yaha phone karne ke liye seekhaya paraaya hai na usko jaakar kehdena ke Maahir sirf aur sirf mera hai aur uspar mere alava kisi aur ka koi haq nehi hai. So please!! Yaha phone karna bandh kardo."

Bulbul was shocked on hearing about Maahir's impending marriage with someone else.

B : "Aisa kaise ho sakta hai? Mere daddy ki shaadi to ho chuki hai meri mamma ke saath."

A : "Oh please shut up and don't call again."

Just at that moment, Maahir came inside his cabin and was shocked to find Anu there especially with his phone. He said,"Hi Anu!! Tum kab aayi?" Anu covered the speaker of the phone and replied,"Abhi aayi baby!! Ek minute ruko zara pehle iske hosh to thikaane laga du." Maahir was confused and asked,"Kisse baat kar rahi ho?" Anu replied,"That girl Bulbul called, wait a sec!!" On hearing Bulbul's name, Maahir was absolutely shocked as what he was always scared of, was happening right before his eyes. He immediately snatched the phone from her hand and moved a bit away from her.
