It turned out that John understood Gem much better than she assumed because the place he took her to was a 5D cinema.

The cinema was new, and the main thing about it was that there were 3D movies but also some additional elements like moving chairs and splashing water.

Furthermore, the movies were much shorter than the regular ones but much more exciting. Gem already had a chance to try it out, and she was thrilled by it.

It was strange to her, how John kept surprising her, in the most positive ways possible. That made her feel highly conflicted because she was very happy that he was such a nice guy, but she also wanted him to have some big flaw that she wouldn't be able to go past.

Of course, he wasn't perfect, she knew that, but there was nothing big that could drive her away. She wanted a terrible flaw, as much as she hoped he had no deal-breaking flaws. Her conflicting heart drove her crazy, so she just decided to enjoy herself without thinking at all.

Since she had already been to that cinema, she let John choose what they would watch. Another reason she did that was to learn more about him.

In her opinion, a person's choice of movies, books, and the things they write about, could tell a lot about their personality.

Yet again, he chose just the perfect thing, a movie about dinosaurs.

Once they sat down comfortably, safe and secure, the lights were turned off, and they put on their 3D glasses ready for the ride.

It was as amazing as Gem hoped it would be.

The movie started with a wide shot of the breathtaking nature of long ago. There was lush greenery everywhere, and the spectators could feel the light breeze on their faces (one of the special effects). A lot of big and small animals could be seen grazing the grass or just wondering around.

Suddenly, a huge T-Rex appeared, and it started chasing some smaller dinosaurs. They managed to escape, but at one point the T-Rex's head came very close to Gem and John as it opened its huge mouth roaring with all its might. The dinosaur's saliva splashed all over their faces (it was just water), Gem couldn't help but scream and grab John's hand in a firm grip.

They stayed in that position during the whole movie, and she would squeeze his hand, from time to time, when something was terrifying or impressive.

The chairs were moving while the big dinosaur was chasing the small ones, and they left the audience with the feeling that they were the ones being chased by T-Rex.

Every time the dinosaurs ran through water, they could all feel the droplets of water splashing on their faces, which made the feeling of being there complete.

What took Gem's breath away, was the brontosaurus with its long neck, peacefully munching on the tops of the trees. Since she was a child, they were always her favorite dinosaurs because there was something about them that made them look both powerful and gentle at the same time.

Although they were big and strong, they were herbivores, and they never seemed to bother anyone. Somehow, in her mind, she imagined them as very friendly animals that wouldn't mind being petted by humans. Seeing them in their natural habitat, made her think about how pure and innocent nature could be.

On the other hand, the T-Rex was there to remind her how dangerous and powerful the animals and nature could be. All in all, it was the most exciting thing ever for her, and John enjoyed it very much, although maybe not as much as she did.

He liked the dinosaurs, but he was sure it was nothing in comparison to how much Gem adored them. During the whole movie, she kept laughing excitedly during the rides, or when she saw the brontosaurus, and she kept on screaming from excitement while they were being chased by the T-Rex.

John had never seen anyone so happy about something like she was about the 5D movie about dinosaurs. He loved seeing her like that, with all her defenses down, but he knew that wouldn't last for long.

Instead of worrying about it, he decided to just enjoy the moment. He kept changing his focus from the movie in front of him, to the laughing beauty next to him, enjoying both the movie and her joy, at the same time.

After they watched a few more short movies with similar enthusiasm, she allowed him to walk her home, not caring if it was a smart thing to do or not. Of course, she let him take her to her building, but she didn't mention which apartment she was in, and she didn't invite him in.

She thought that guys usually expected something like that, but she hoped that John understood her well enough not to expect an invitation.

What she did do was give him a short peck on the lips as a thank you for a great day. The contact was very brief, but they both felt a jolt of electricity run through their lips.

"Thank you! I had a wonderful time!" Gem said.

"I had a great time too. To be honest, I always feel great when I get the chance to spend time with you." He said, speaking in a low seductive voice that was simply irresistible.

"John,...I..." She started stuttering.

He put his finger on her lips in a shushing sign.

"You don't have to say anything. I understand. I just felt like telling you. It's not a big deal, I am not telling you anything life-changing. I just want to tell you that I want to see you again, as soon as possible. What do you say?" He said, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible, although he did mean a lot more by those words.

It was clear that she wasn't ready to hear what he truly felt, so he quickly changed the subject.

"What did you have in mind?" She said more relaxed, and with a small smile that she couldn't control.

"How about some cake? I know this cute little confectionery which has mouthwatering chocolate cakes. Are you in?" He said.

"I love chocolate cakes!" She said, once again forgetting to hide her true feelings behind an impenetrable wall she usually used.

He loved the fact that it kept happening more and more around him.

"It's a deal." She said.

They said their goodbyes, and as he was walking away, John couldn't help but think about the kiss she gave him. He knew it wasn't a big deal, but to him, it felt amazing. He wanted more, he wanted so much more.

As Gem climbed the steps of her building, she couldn't help but smile broadly, like she hadn't smiled for a long time, maybe ever. She was so happy and absorbed in her thoughts that she missed her floor and had to go back.

The thing that was in the foreground of her mind was the small peck on the lips she gave John. She wasn't planning on doing that, but at the moment it felt so right, that she couldn't help herself.

Of course, she would have to be more careful in the future, but for the time being, she decided to just enjoy the warm feeling that engulfed her whole heart. It was a wonderful feeling that she didn't want to let go.
