~ I'm thinking how when I saw your colors they were disturbed
Against your tan complexion and dark brown hair, how could those eyes be yours?
I'm thinking you flew away in a dream
at night when you were barely fourteen
decided who your lover was and stole their colors
drowned yourself in the life of their shades
You must have a deep desire for them to find you
to fall in love when they see their life within you
in your eyes and in your hands so they'll have to dive into you
Burying your fear of a lonely life
"Will I ever see you again?"
He's afraid to cry
'Cause if his tears fall they are a rainbow and he's losing the colors
Playing life and getting lost in love but still has a void in his world where no colors are felt
In constant highs, he has to remain
he needs love to forget his pain,
not only butterflies in his stomach
as soon they fly away,
maybe to meet you somewhere and sway
And then it's dark and he begs to be taken higher
Good doesn't get you high enough so he's high on the worse
Maybe to not lose you since you're only around when his mind is not
But his friends will never know the plan he had as he was young
To meet his lover under the soul soaking rainbow
drowning in the shades of love
Savoring how every moment is finally tasteful.
