ch. 6: "that guilt."

"CALUM, PUT ME DOWN!" I pleaded as he reached the ocean.

"Nobody can drag me down!" he laughed & threw us both down to the waters, it was warm.

"UGH CALUM, I LIKED THIS OUTFIT!" I whined as I stood up, maintaining my balance.

"It's cute I guess." he shrugged, splashing me with water.

I quickly stripped off my shorts & threw them on the sand. I saw Calum slowly unbotton his shirt. I stared in admiration when he finally spoke.

"Are you gonna come in here with me or not?" he gave me a derp face, I splashed him with water which started the splashing war.

He won.

We got out of the water around 20 minutes later since I got tired & we wanted food.

"Ice cream?" Calum raised his eyebrows.

"Race ya!" I laughed, almost tripping as I ran. Calum passed me then came back since I was already out of breath.

"Aww.. Little Tati got tiiired" he mocked me, as I tried catching my breath.

"Shut up Cal, just carry me." I held my hands out, he made me get on his back, giving me the most funnest piggy-back ride ever.

I suddenly remembered our childhood, I smiled as he ran to the ice cream bar.

"That'll be $3.00." the girl took Calum's money and handed over the ice cream cones, "You guys are adorable!"

"Oh- we're only friends." I felt my face heat up as I told her, and she made an awkward smile.

"My feelings are hurt." Calum says, pretending to be hurt.

He takes out his phone and puts the front-facing camera on me.

"Calum, stoppppp! My face might break the camera!" I whined as I covered my face with my hands.

"Let's take selfies!" Calum smiled widely & sat down next to me, taking the pink camera in his hands, we took about 8 selfies, I was surprised the camera hasn't broke yet.

6th pic: Calum got a shell & held it up to his squishy face.

We stared at each other, taking deep breaths.

"I've missed you." Calum spoke, still looking into my eyes with his dreamy brownish eyes.

"Me too.." I muttered, he came closer & cupped my face.

"Hey, Tati?" he asked me, we were inches away.

"Yeah?" I asked, stunned by his gorgeousness.

"I'm sorry." he crashed his lips onto mines, suddenly my whole world stopped & revolved only around us.

We made out for a good five minutes until I realized this was all wrong, this wasn't supposed to happen, this was supposed to be & Luke. I pulled away, pushing his weight off me, Suddenly, my world was normal again.

"I-I'm sorry.. I-I d-didn't mean to kiss you." my mouth was partly open, I was wide eyed.

"M-me too." he quickly gathered our stuff & handed me my bag, I got into dry clothes & started walking to his car.

The whole ride was way more awkward than ever, no song was on. I was on my phone, I finally replied to Luke.

'I do too.'

We finally got to my house & I quickly sped away, Calum running after me.

"H-hey, I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to kiss you.. It felt so right." he spoke to me, out of breath.

"It's okay.. Just forget it ever happened." I replied quickly, fumbling with my house keys. He took my hand making me gasp, then he made me face him.

"I don't want to." he kissed me again, then I pushed him off.

"Calum, I'm with Luke and I love him! Can you not see that?" I shouted, frustrated.

"Sorry.." he looked heartbroken & walked away.. 

I felt as if my heart was broken into a million pieces when we drove off. I sighed & opened my door to see..

Luke.

"Hi babe! Had fun?" he smiled at me then kissed me. I quickly pulled away then hugged him.

"Sure.. I missed you." I sighed, smelling in his cologne. I really did miss him.

"I'm sorry about Friday.. It'll never happen again, okay?" he smiled down at me, kissing me once more. I felt guilt rushing down to me. 

He left shortly after since his mom told him to go home for dinner.
