Chapter 26

Percy POV

It had been about two days on the outside of the casino and I'd say about time to leave. Sighing I lifted myself from the bed in my room and walked out. Just as I did a laughing boy ran into me and fell down from the impact. He seemed around ten years old with black hair and olive skin. He looked up at me and I saw that his eyes are a dark brown. So dark that they looked black. I could also sense a weird aura of darkness and death around him.

'Hmm, a child of Hades. Did he break the oath as well or have they been hear for years?' I asked myself. I held out my hand and he took it with a smile. "Sup kid, what's your name?" I asked. "Nico. Nico Di Angelo. What's yours?" He asked excitedly. "Johnny Blaze." I replied. "Cool name. Hey do you play mythomagic?!" He asked. "Nico!? Where are you?" A female voice called from around the corner. Right after a girl who looked nearly just like Nico only taller and, of course, a girl rounded said corner. She looked down our way then ran over to us. "What have I told you about running off Nico?" She scolded. "Not to, but you were trying to hit me!" The kid yelled. "I'm still gonna hit you." She the slapped him upside the head. Twice.

"Ow what was that second one for!?" Nico asked rubbing his head. "Running off." She replied then looked at me. "Oh I'm sorry you saw that. I didn't see you." She apologized and I waved her off. "Don't worry about it, you're fine. Um I'm kinda in a hurry, but I need to tell you something." She nodded. "Do you want Nico around for this?" She nodded again. "Ok, so I might sound crazy, but in a couple of months you won't be here. You'll be in a military school. Soon after you get there some weird stuff will happen and you will have a choice. Join a groups of girls and leave your brother or deny and stay with him. Now you might be thinking that the answer is obvious, but it won't be. They have a way with words and could easily manipulate your mind. I just want to say don't listen to them. Your brother is the only family you have left at the moment. He needs you. When the time comes I'll be there to help you, but until then keep my warning in mind." With that I walked away from the two shocked kids.

Once I got to the gaming part of the casino I looked around for Annabeth and Pandora. I found Pandora talking to a guy with a confused look on her face. I walked up to her just as she left the guy and placed a hand on her shoulder. She whirled around with wide eyes, but calmed down when she saw me.

"So you've figured it out?" I asked. "Yea, there's people in here who thinks it's the 1900s. I think this is some kind of godly trap or something." She explained as we walked around to find the daughter of Athena. "You're close. The land of the lotus eaters. A place where time basically stops. You stop aging and more." I told her. "You knew?!" I nodded. "Yup, Zeus needs to learn patience." I said. "I don't care about Zeus or his bolt I just want my mom back!" She yelled angrily. To be honest I completely forgot about her mom. "Hmm, I forgot. Sorry about that. Let's find Mrs.Mc-run-my-mouth and go."

Not too long afterwards we found her at an architect type game. After Pandora describing spiders to her we were able to get out of the club. We had spent two days in the casino and was left with four days. 'Ugh I could've gone three more days.' I thought to myself. We hailed a taxi and loaded into the back.

"Los Angeles." I said. He looked back at us chewing his cigar. "That's three hundred miles. I need payment up front for that." I gave him my card and he swiped it. Once he saw the infinity symbol his jaw dropped and his cigar fell out of his mouth. "Where to in Los Angeles...uh," I cut him off not exactly being patient. "Santa Monica Pier." I said.  He nodded and gave me my card the drove off. Considering we had plenty of time to talk Pandora told us about her latest dream. Basically it was of Kronos in the pit and his serve to that I knew was Luke, but I didn't say anything seeing as 1:He's needed in the future and 2:They wouldn't even believe me.

Annabeth knee it was Kronos was rising denied it just like her idiot godly family and confused Dora even more than she already was. After that we simply rode in silence. Annabeth and Pandora fell asleep and I simply looked out the window. A few hours later and we had arrived at Santa Monica Pier. I woke the two girls up and we got out. Once we got to the the edge of the surf Pandora looked at us for support. Annabeth motioned for her to go while I just crossed my arms in boredom. She then started walking into the water. Soon she was completely submerged. Not long after if felt a weak oceanic presence there with Pandora.

A while later Pandora walked out of the water with a bitter look on her face.

"I'm guessing Poseidon couldn't make it?" I asked. I was met with a glare and silence. "I'll take that as a yes." Pandora then told us what the nereid told her which was nothing too important. Basically just some pearls that'll help later on. After taking some money off of my card we took a bus to West Hollywood. Dora showed the driver the address for DOA recording studios, but he hadn't heard of it. After lying to the bus driver about being a stunt double for kid actors, Pan, Annabeth and I got of at the next stop and wondered around looking for it. No body seemed to have heard of it and that makes sense. It's a godly place and gods prefer to stay hidden from the mortal eye.

After hours I finally felt the sense of death. Not as powerful as Thanatos, but enough to know that multiple spirits are in one place. I told the girls to follow me and we walked to DOA recording studios.

'Let's get this over with.' Was my thought before walking in.
