I know these plans-
these lies we're telling ourselves
are going to cut the deepest,
burn the most,
and hurt the worst
when it's all over.
But right now,
they're keeping me alive,
keeping me happy,
keeping me whole.
These plans are the only thing
I look forward to anymore.
It's a shame that they're only lies,
dreams,
fantasies,
instead of the future
I want more than anything.
But still I will dream on.
