Ok so I'm like half tired writing this so I'm sorry if it's trash. I gave myself a first degree burn earlier too. And I'm also eating some chili cheese fritos so buckle your seatbelts kidz, and get ready for one fluffy oneshot. And as my stolen catchphrase goes, I'm gonna shut up before I share my Social Security number, and start writing.

"But Con, I'm gonna fall! Why can't you do the roof?" Evan groaned as Connor handed him a bundle of Christmas lights.

"Marriage is a partnership. A partnership that involves you going outside when it's freezing because I don't want to either," Connor replied, opening the garage door and shivering as the cold breeze swept in.

Evan sat down on a box of decorations. "Please?" He shot Connor a pitiful look, eliciting a chuckle and some sympathy.

"Ugh, fine, but only because I love you," Connor decided.

Suddenly, the door to the house creaked open. A young girl of about six hopped out into the garage cautiously, her footed snowman pajamas padding on the floor. "Papa?"

Connor looked up from untangling the light strands. "Yeah, honey?"

"Where are you putting those? I can help," she offered sweetly.

"Well, Lena, I'm about to put the lights on the roof because your Papa's a scaredy cat..."

Lena giggled. Connor continued.

"But you can help with the lights around the walkway and on the bushes," he said to his daughter.

"Yay!" The little girl replied.

They had adopted Lena two years ago and Connor still never gets tired of that smile. He took her hand and led her outside, dragging a string of lights behind him. He approached one of the bushes along the driveway.

"Ok, so we're going to wrap them around like this," Connor said while showing his daughter how to wrap the lights around the bush.

"You're super lit, Papa." Lena said with a grin as she watched Connor.

"Lit?" Connor questioned.

"Kids at school say it, I think it means cool," she explained nonchalantly.

Connor chuckled, shaking his head and continuing to get the house ready for Christmas.

*Timeskip to the friday cuz I said so*

"Dad, which Christmas sweater should I wear for the last day before break?" Josh asked his father, holding up two sweaters; one had a picture Michael Scott with a festive pattern and one had Santa as the Salt Bae meme but sprinkling presents instead of salt.

"Uh, the Michael Scott one is cooler," Evan replied.

"What about me, Papa, which dress should I wear? This one's got an elf and this one's Mrs. Claus." Lena asked for her father's opinion, holding the two options out to him.

"I say... the elf one. Very festive, sweetie," he replied to his newest child.

*Another time skip to after evan drops Lena and Josh off at school and Connor drops off Isaac. Brought to you by me singing "all we see is fuck for forever" cuz I hit my foot while singing for forever.*
