this prompt is from the lovely MarleySuarez

it got super dang long so this is just the first part

here's the prompt: "Connor wants to take Evan somewhere cool and accidentally end up in Orlando and lil bby Evan begs him to take him to Disney world since he's never been. Then they kiss under the fireworks and it's all fluffy and cute."

"Are you sure there's no time to go to Disney World?" Evan examined the itinerary for their weekend in Florida. Heidi nodded. "Yep." She turned onto a winding road that led to the hotel. Cynthia Murphy sat in the passenger seat snapping pictures of the flora and fauna with her cell phone. Connor lay next to Evan in the back, eyes closed, asleep. It had been a long drive.

The four were taking a mother-son weekend vacation to Florida, and they had plans to go everywhere. The Everglades, Kennedy Space Center, Bahia Honda, Clearwater, everything you'd want to see on a trip south. That is, except for Disney World. And Evan wasn't happy about it.

"Can't we just...squeeze it in somewhere? Please, mom, I've never been."

Heidi sighed. "Evan, there's no time, we can't just make a ch- Oh look, there's the hotel!"

Evan shook Connor awake. "Hmm?" Connor sat up and opened his eyes groggily.

"We're here," Evan said, pointing to the Marriott. Connor looked and smiled. Heidi pulled the car into the lot and they began unpacking their things from the car. Evan slung his bag over his shoulder and started to walk towards the door. Connor grabbed his backpack and jogged to catch up with Evan. "Hey, you seem...off, are you okay?"

Evan sighed. "Yeah, yeah, it's just...I really wanted to go to Disney and there's no time. But it's fine."

Connor put an arm around Evan's waist as they walked. "I'm sorry. Well, I hear the Kennedy Space Center is really neat, that'll be fun, right?" Connor loved space and had been looking forward to Kennedy for months. But he didn't tell Evan that, he didn't want to make him jealous that Connor was getting what he wanted.

Evan nodded. "Yeah, yeah I guess." He was still disappointed, but didn't want to drag Connor down with his complaints. They walked into the hotel and handed their bags to the bellboy, who loaded them onto a cart and brought them to their rooms. Their mothers followed suit, and soon they were all set for their stay. They checked in and headed to the elevator and up to their room.

"Woah..." Connor sighed as he opened the door. The room was luxurious to say the least. Two beds pressed against the back wall, beautifully made and ready for Evan, who had already collapsed face first onto the soft linens. He sighed happily, muffled by the blanket.

A large flat screen television rested on the wall across from the beds, and a small couch and cushioned chairs around a coffee table made up a miniature living space. A door led to the bathroom and a mini-fridge stood under the counter.

A door next to the television suddenly swung open, and Heidi stepped into the room. "Like it?"

Evan sat up and nodded. Connor nodded too, still looking around. He walked towards the balcony and their gorgeous view.

"Okay, well Cynthia and I are sharing the room next door, through here," she pointed through the door she had come out of, "so you've got this place to yourselves."

"Try to get some sleep, please," Cynthia called from the other room, putting her things away.

"M'kay. Evan, come look at this," Connor called from the balcony. Evan got up off the bed and joined Connor at the railing.

"Wow..." Evan stared down, mesmerized by the view. Below lay a little town (a/n: its a quiet village), people bustling about. Cute shops and corner stores lined the road, and if Evan craned his neck far enough, he could catch a glimpse of the palm trees lining the beach and the white sand, clear water lapping up on the shore. The sun was beginning to set, and it sent beams of light glistening on the sea.

"You're cute," Connor said as he watched Evan gazing at the water. Evan turned around and smiled. "You're cuter." He leaned up for a kiss. Connor accepted graciously, wrapping his arms around Evan's waist and falling deeper in love, if that was possible.

"Aww," a coo came from the room. Evan whipped around and saw his mother grinning and Cynthia snapping a couple pictures.

"Mom, quit it," Connor hissed, walking back into the hotel room.

"We're gonna go downstairs and get something to eat, you boys get to bed soon, okay?" Heidi grabbed her purse.

"Sounds good," Connor said, flopping down on the bed and closing his eyes contently. Evan came inside from the balcony. The sun had tucked behind the horizon and it was almost dark. Evan took the other bed. Both were queen sized and more than enough space for each boy. Only while laying on the soft mattress did Evan realize how tired he was. He pulled his t-shirt off over his head and slipped his jeans off. Ready for bed, he tossed the clothes on the ground and pulled the blanket over his body. He closed his eyes softly and lay still. He could hear Connor getting ready for bed.

Evan felt the blanket on top of him shift and he opened his eyes. Connor was joining him under the covers. "Hey," he mumbled, accepting the company.

"Hey, cutie," Connor replied, wrapping his arms around Evan and closing his eyes. Evan did the same.

"G'night," Evan muttered sleepily. Connor interlaced their fingers. "Night," he said, squeezing Evan's hand as they both drifted off to sleep.

Evan lay half awake. He opened his eyes ever so slightly, letting the sun streaming through the window liven him. But suddenly the light was blotted out. Something rested over his eyes. Confused, he reached up and grabbed it as he sat up.

A Mickey Mouse hat.

He looked up and saw Connor sitting at the foot of the bed, a stupidly huge grin on his face.

Evan half laughed, half gasped. "A-are we..."

Connor nodded. Evan squealed and leapt forward, squeezing Connor tight. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Now it was Connor's turn to laugh. "Of course, Evan." He squeezed him back. But Evan suddenly pulled away. "Wait," he said softly. "We were going to the space center today...Connor, you were really excited for that, are you...you're really skipping it for me?"

Connor smiled warmly. "Evan, I wouldn't've had a good time anyway knowing that you didn't get to go to Disney. This is so much better."

Evan beamed. "Thank you, Connor."

Evan looked out the window giddily. The car pulled to a stop.

"Alright, you boys have fun, we'll pick you up at 10, okay?" Heidi unlocked the doors, letting them out.

"Yeah," Evan said half heartedly, not paying any attention to his mom. His eyes were fixated on other things, such as the peaks of Cinderella's Castle. Connor tapped his shoulder. Evan looked. Connor motioned to the door. "Right," Evan said, opening the door and walking out onto the pavement. Connor joined him outside. With a final wave, goodbye, and have fun, the car pulled away. Connor placed the Mickey hat on Evan's head. It slipped forward, covering his eyes, but Evan adjusted it, smiling. "Where first?"

"Tower of Terror?" Connor suggested his favorite ride. Evan hadn't heard of it.

"Tower of what?"

"Terror."

Tower of Terror.

Terror.

Come on, Evan. It's a kid's park, how bad could it be?

"I guess, if that's what you want to do!"

Connor smiled and took Evan's hand and they headed off towards Hollywood Studios.
