"Hey what's wrong?"

You walked through the door crying. It's not like you wanted to visit your boyfriend in that state but you couldn't help it anymore.
"I've had it. I quit. I need a new job."

"Woah okay, wait breathe what's wrong?" Felix tried calming you down.

"I'm tired of seeing people die in front of me Felix. I'm tired of seeing people cry and people- people."

"Shh it's okay y/n you're here now."
Felix embraced you in his arms and tried keeping you there but you squirmed out mumbling about how you needed a new job.

"I need to find a new job."
you reach out for Felix's laptop that sat on the other side of the couch but he stopped you just before you got to it.

"No not today nor in a couple of days you need to rest and think this trough. Talk to me."
He suggested.

After you had calmed down you tried explaining what had happened in order to unburden,
"I'm just-" you took a deep breath in and exhaled, "I thought training as a surgical assistant would be fun you know. I thought it'd be saving lives and making others life's better but half of the people I have assisted doing surgery on have died and going up to the families, telling them their loved one didn't make it, especially when they agree to see each other again after surgery is so devastating I can't bare it anymore."

There was a moment of quiet and silence filled the room. Felix thought about what he wanted to say and spoke up hoping it'd lift up your spirits.
"Y/n. Think about all the people you did save though; even if it was a few, think about them and how thankful they must be that they got out of surgery just fine.. and it's all thanks to you."

"I guess I have to think about it that way." You nodded to your boyfriend, "it's not easy."

"And I bet it won't be either but I know you can do this. You're stronger than you seem and I speak with certainty, I know you'll get through this."

You kissed Felix on the cheek and sat back down to lay your head on his chest.
"Thank you."

"Any time darling. You got this."
