Hide And Seek With The Devil

~Chapter IX~

Sue raised a little bit his eyebrow and his gaze focused on a taller woman with grey hair and black tinges, the certain part of her body, above her chest was covered by a grey tulle that headed all the way down to her hands as sleeves and her black and white dress covered most of her body parts. The brown haired teen knew her too well to tell that she was the one who wanted the position.

"Really? The princess of jealousy? Do I actually have to explain why that would have been a bad idea?-"

"Yes!.... Why are you the only one who should be around princess? We too are capable to deal with threats of the kingdom and you know it..."

"You may be powerful but...  not as powerful as me and you're not able to control yourself around the princess. What if you, in the end, kill her?"

"I would never! How dare you-"They were about to fight in a room that barely fitted seven people and Priscilla knew it too well to let any of them continue. By standing up and wiping some hair away from her eyes to glare at both of them she finally spoke

"You told me to come here and talk... politely, not like humans..." She soon hissed and crossed her arms over her chest

"I would but your friend over there is calling me a murderer..."

"Wow... as if he hasn't killed anyone... please grow up and this meeting is over... I'm not in the mood to argue over this, Edward will fight you, Sue, tonight and you.." She pointed at Desirè "..will remain like this, alright?" Was that even a question? Desirè would gladly fight Sue if the chance was given but at this time... she would have to wait for long...

"Have a good night, dear ~" Sue's voice could be heard in the distance as Desirè made her way outdoors with her lover by her side. Priscilla was making her leave as well with, who else? Damien right beside her.

     The time was passing by and Sue didn't know what to do, Ai was still probably pissed off and he knew it, so he wasn't sure if she would help him or not. On the other hand, even if he indeed wins Edward, Priscilla would continue to search for other demons for him to fight and replace him. He couldn't accept it, he had to do something and fast enough so she could lose this 'hope' of him being replaced, but for now he couldn't do else than make sure he would win this excuse of a demon tomorrow.

Two hours passed only for Ai to prepare herself for the fight. What was decided? Edward allowed her in these hours to take his place even though Sue would still think that she was angry at him and that she wouldn't help. Easy enough to say it, difficult for her to make her plan work. The teen wore her casual dark blue dress and her knee high boots before she walk out of the palace's door. The time has come for her and Sue to prove who's worthy and none of them would accept to lose this. Before she arrives, the girl would change form into the older man's form. Her hair changed to blonde short ones and her slim figure turned to a muscular and manly-like tall one. Someone who didn't know him, would say that this 'man' was him, and Sue thought exactly that.

"Well..well..well... So you came" Sue would speak first and have the last word as well

"Why to not come? Do I have something to be afraid of? I won't lose ~" The blonde one spoke rather confidently and gave him a slight smirk. The younger one hated it, he hated him for being so confident about this fight and not only because he had a chance to fight him and win. Sue's orange eyes fixed on him, they slowly were taking a purple color as a small flame started to be casting on his hand. He couldn't be a normal human that's the only sure thing, but he was studying all the time so his abilities started to become stronger than him. Even if the demoness had warn him to not use fire that what he did, little did he know when he saw Edward accepting the fire attack as if nothing happened. A surprised look took the place of the small smile he always had "Interesting~"

"Did you think you would be the only one with fire by your side? Don't play it fool"He took as a reply but after one hit of his, Edward would kneel on one leg to grab his right hand. He didn't even touch him.... How was he able to hurt him? He wondered. But he had no time to waste. After several attacks, his top clothing was almost burnt or ripped off during the fight and soon enough he couldn't stand the heat. The reason? Sue had open fire almost all around the place they were fighting and Edward was actually Ai. The abilities of hers were based on water and even though she had taken the powers and form of the other man, she couldn't stand so much pressure.

Meanwhile, Priscilla was watching the battle between the two guards, enjoying the fact 'Edward' was so good, he had caused some fine wounds to Sue too. But this enjoyment wouldn't last for long since after a while Edward knelt down and slowly the form of his started breaking and taking place of the old 'friend' of hers.

"Ai!? "She growled in surprise.

The pink haired girl would only step in the fight when she saw Ai's true ability. With a motion of the blue headed, she successfully stunned the other one in place. But how did she do that? Sue had widen a little his eyes and she could see the confusion in his expression, but she didn't care, she would only smirk before she had been cut off by Priscilla.

"Stop it, both of you" She murmured and started her before Ai finally left Sue go. Her arms were crossed against her chest and sighed

"Every time you're covering Sue up.."

"You cheated ,Ai..... You could tell that you wanted to fight him... "

"Yeah of course.... So he could say how 'not good' guard I would be... "

"Well you're not.... It's a draw. "

"WHAT!? I'VE MADE HIM NOT ABLE TO MOVE! THE GUARD OF THE PRINCESS"

Ai couldn't believe what Priscilla said but she couldn't do anything to change that. Sue would only leave a small chuckle caused by Priscilla's decision.

"Come with me.... We have to talk" Priscilla gave Sue a glare only for Ai to follow her and sigh. Soon enough and with a snap of her fingers, Priscilla and Ai were into one of the bedroom of Dorothy's house.

"Would you want to be a guard? " She breathed calmly.

"Are you seriously questioning that? Of course I want"

"Your memories though, will be vanished, it's up to you, you're good....you have the strength I need and you can become better at fighting if you accept my offer. I can give you anything you want. "

"And I won't remember anything? "Priscilla nodded and could see Ai to walk back to the door as a refuse of hers. The princess of wrath, widened her eyes in surprise. Anyone who would have the opportunity to be the guard of the princess would accept within seconds! Ai was the first one to refuse

" Why? "She quickly asked
" I want to remember everything, Priscilla. I prefer to be a normal demon than that thing.. "

And with that, the conversation has ended with Ai walking out of the room and Priscilla growling under her breath. She had to find something else as an offer for the deal to make her a guard.
