~Chapter IX~

Ai couldn't believe that she knew the one who would face Sue. With a fast move she rolled on her heel and leaned back to hold herself up while looking at him. She had no idea how he was even a guard from a simple prince. . Was he even stronger than before? She did not know.

"Yeah that's me ~" He cut sharp the dead silence that filled the room and stretched his back while laying onto her bed. His yellow eyes pinned her blue ones and he could only shrug before speaking again. "Why that face? Don't you like the whole idea~? As a guard, I will be powerful and you will be mine ~" His words only made her more disgusted than she already was. He was too filthy for her to even consider him as a demon for her to even have any relationship than. . . .friends(?) Could she consider him as a friend?

"Do you think that I will fall for this shit? Really now? When will you stop thinking of us being together? It's not going to happen." She hissed and turned around to continue choosing what she will wear. Finally, her hands grabbed the perfect outfit. A short black skirt with dark blue tulle over that, her top was a white T-shirt with a black vest on top of it, suiting perfectly on her really slim form. By returning to her previous position she would glare at the older, for two years, man and sigh "Leave." She murmured and gave him a warning look. She obviously wanted to change clothes and she knew that he wouldn't mind staying there.

"But, little one-" He whined and grunted in displease.

"I said leave, now do so or I will."Soon the man stood up and started walking away since she would get more mad if he did the opposite. With a frown, he walked to the door and pushed it with one hand to open.

"If you need help, call me~"

"I'm sure I won't need anything from you..." Ai hissed, as soon as he left the room,she could feel someone else's presence. Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door before she growl. If it was Edward again. . The short girl walked all the way to the door with her skirt only needing a fix and pulled it open.

"Sue?" Ai said in surprise. She didn't expect, especially him to visit her at a time like this. Her eyes met his and she narrowed them. "What do you want? "

"I see you're friends with my enemies" He said in a rather playful manner, if he was truly mad at her she knew she wouldn't react like this. A soft chuckle escaped her lips and nodded.

"He's my bestest friend, how did you find out? " She spoke with a chuckle, pulling down her skirt to fix it and then turning around to walk towards her dresser again. "So, what is it? Did Priscilla say anything else about the fight? "

"No. . She wants to see who else wants to become a guard so. . She invited all of the princesses and princes to the mansion, tonight. " He walked inside with her, taking a seat on her bed while observing her moves.

"Hm. . So I guess I have to come too?. . What are you gonna say to Dorothy? She will be in the house and she can't avoid the fact you will fight with someone else. . A not normal fight either. . "

"I don't know. . I was thinking of letting her go to the town tonight so after the meeting we can immediately end this. It took one day for her to bring him here so I guess he can't be too useless. . Unless she wants her plan to fail miserably. "

Ai gave him a single glance "You won't have to worry then. I know I told you I will help a but I won't help you the way to suggested." That answer caused his calm eyes to widen for a second. "What do you mean?"

"I mean. . " She closed the door of her wardrobe and smiled shortly. ". . that I will help you by giving you an advice, a friendly one~" She chuckled as she could see his glance turning into a glare. "You can't fight the fire with the same element"
