"Right in time for what? "
A slightly deeper voice had been heard from behind the demoness. His voice wasn't like others -not too deep- , he actually knew it and didn't care about it at all. His form slim and his hair as brown as his suit as the darkness of the room surrounded them. He obviously could change clothes and yes, every attire of his was a suit. The era they were living in was the medieval and only Ai was wearing clothes that someone could tell that they looked as if they were from other times in the future. Some demons had abilities such as traveling in time, but that didn't mean that Ai could predict the future. The only thing she could do was to travel, walk around and choose what style of clothing suited her the best. Sue on the other hand knowing this ability would prefer to go to the future only to see if he would finally make humans suffer or something like that, than go for shopping.
"Ow.... I... I brought her back "
Her blue eyes raised to look up at him and drew a nervous smile on her face, did he see her changing form in the room? Or was he ignoring it to kill her later? The sixteen years old girl took a silent breath and scratched the back of her head as a relieved smile replaced the mad on of Sue's.
"Perfect, then-"
Before he could finish his sentence, the shorter girl decided to actually ask something that bothered her quiet for long time. She knew he wouldn't give her an honest answer but...she had to ask. She had to know if he could feel anything for others anymore or no.
"Sorry for interrupting... But what's going on with you, two? "
A surprised look of the man met hers and her blue eyes narrowed. They were all alone. The silence filled the room and Dorothy clearly was out in the hallway or... Somewhere. It was the perfect moment for her to ask and take the answers she deserved. She was his friend and always this kind of questions or topics were not answered. He couldn't see Dorothy only as a childhood friend and be so protective over her for no reason.
"What do you mean? "
"Come on, Sue.. You have her locked inside here for so long... telling excuses to Priscilla that she's still too naive and young to not have someone to protect her or to learn the truth of what she exactly is. For how long do you believe 'her mighty' will allow you to be in here? She will soon throw you away"
Especially the last sentence made the older teen to tighten up his fist, hiding it obviously under his long sleeve. His expression got darker. Priscilla. An other arch demon that others say her father is the devil and she is treated as a princess of Hell and the upcoming queen of it. She's one of the older there demons if not the oldest of them all. She was the one who allowed Sue to stay with Dorothy and protect her without explaining more to him but... He was there not only to protect her as it seemed since he made her life so much difficult. So she could clearly throw him away without any warning. But little did she know that Sue would allow no one to even try to take his ' princess ' away from him.
"The only problem here is that she can't do that.. As long as I am in charge of her safety and Priscilla didn't find anyone as worthy as me- of course-, the princess will stay here. "
The man spoke calmly and took several steps backwards, only to hold a book from his desk. Reading helped him a lot as it seemed and every room of his gave the whole dark vibe of his attitude. Walls dark green, purple or even black.. Curtains pulled so no light were coming in the house, a dusty desk and even the books he loved so much were dusty and too old. All this combined with the smell of an old room that had to open its doors for centuries were sending too uneasy vibes someone would admit.
"Sure she will but...you can't think of her only as a toy, am I right? " Ai knew how he saw other people and most importantly....how he saw this girl. She couldn't accept that he wanted only to see her in despair and terror.
"Isn't she a human? " He spoke and his eyes rolled down to see the book and open it while sitting on the dusty wooden desk.
"Yes... But-"
"Then why should I think of her as something else?"
"Just notice the look in her eye when she's close to you... I mean, its different, don't you think? "
Even Ai had realized that Dorothy maybe didn't see him as an 'old friend' but Sue didn't and he wouldn't see that any time soon. He was too busy with his problems with Priscilla already. He didn't answer. He shook his head and shrugged before pointing to the door for her to leave. At the same time steps of the eighteen years old girl, that was walking in the hallway was heard and she knocked the door twice to open it. Usually, she wouldn't be able to enter the room of his, without a key that he would give her or without him being with her, but this time was different. If she tried to enter it without permission back then she would feel a sharp pain on her back and the feeling of a crimson liquid crawling down her back before she faint. By entering the room she finally faced the stranger girl and Sue. With a confused look she felt her cheerful side of hers slowly fading away. What was a girl doing in there? Why didn't she know her? With a glare on her face, as if she had caught her lover cheating her, Dorothy took a silent breath and smiled through the angry expression of hers.
"I will let you, two, chat~" Ai giggled under her breath and she patted Sue's shoulder softly. By approaching him in order to leave, she leaned for a second only to whisper at him to 'have a great day', something that could be heard as 'date' in the end of her sentence. Deep down she kind of liked the whole idea, even if her friend would be pissed off for days after her words. He never liked others to have the wrong idea, especially when it came to Dorothy. When the blue headed left, the girl looked around nervously. She wanted to ask something but she didn't know if she would make him more mad than he already was by the wish of his younger friend. Thoughts of asking who the hell was she and dared to step in her house to the thought of just letting him be and run off to her room were coming in her mind. But the stronger one escaped her lips.
"Who was she?" She said silently. The room still as silent as before. Her white gloved hands tightened up to two fists and a deep breath to calm down her feelings was taken before her orange eyes fixed on him.
