Before the party, I surveyed my closet. I wasn't exactly looking forward to this, but I didn't want to look like I just rolled out of bed, either. One of the things I really missed about back home in Cheshire were the stores- Primark, New Look, Topshop... I was glad to see some of my old clothes were still in mid-condition. Although I wasn't one to complain, the stores in America were pretty wonderful as well. I put on a cute, black and white cat-print crop top and paired it with a white, short skater girl skirt, slipping on my rose gold sandals. Then I brushed my hair and put it in a bun. Just when I was applying my lip gloss, my phone rang.
I picked it up. "Hel"-
" DID YOU GO ON A DATE WITH NIALL?" Lizzie's voice shrieked.
"Ow," I complained, rubbing my ear. "Calm down, please."
"Calm myself? How are you calm?" She yelled at me.
"Oh, trust me, I'm not. And it wasn't a date, really...Well, I don't know what it was. But...."
"You kissed? Oh wow you kissed him what was it like?"
"Lizzie-"
"Wow, I bet it was like amazing, how did it happen? Where did it happen?"
"Lizzie!" I yelled. "We did not kiss. We almost did, but then some guy in a Hawaiian shirt came..."
"What?" She asked, bewildered.
"I'll explain later, I have to go to some a party across the street. Let's hang after?"
"Okay, and you have to spill everything."
"Alright," I said, shaking my head. This girl was a handful. "See you then."
I hung up the phone, sighed, and walked downstairs, hoping to honestly get this party over and done with.
