“Welcome home, Young Master,” Manang Gelay greeted when she saw me after opening the door. I smiled at her.

“Lyle is fine, Manang,” I told her.

I've been telling them to drop the formalities when I'm coming home when they greet me but they're always telling me that it's not right.

“Where's—”

I looked up to see Allishia — my little sister — running down the stairs. Fuck!

“Lish! Be fucking careful!” I hissed but she just giggled before wrapping her arms around my waist to hug me.

“I'm not telling you that I won't do it again. I miss you, Kuya!” she beams before plastering a sweet smile. I sighed.

“I fucking told you hundred of times to be don't fucking run down the stairs because it's fucking dangerous!” I hissed, but then she just giggled, again.

“Nah, it's fun. Where's my pasalubong?!” excited na aniya pagkahiwalay sakin.

“Where's Mom, first?” I asked.

She pouted. “Manang probably called her na. She's with Dad sa garden. Where's my pasalubong na?” napailing na lang ako binigay sa kanya ang hawak ko.

She's a spoiled rotten but good thing she's not a brat.

“Sweetie, you're here,” It's Mom. She's walking towards me with her usual smile and behind her is Dad. I tsked.

“Mom, I won't take long,” I told her before embracing her and giving her a kiss on her forehead. I just nod on my Dad before glancing back at my Mom and my sister—who is now eating her favourite Ice cream. Tsk.

“I know. I just really want to see you, is that bad?” aniya.

I sighed. Umiling ako saka bahagyang ngumiti. We talked for something before I decided to go upstairs, in my room, so I can pack some of my clothes that I left here. Malayo ang bahay sa bago kong pupuntahan at lilipatan that's why I need to pack the other stuffs I left here para hindi na ako magbalik-balik.

“Come in!” I shouted when I heard a knock from the outside.

“Son..” napaangat ako ng tingin.

“Mom, why?” I asked her before asking her to seat beside me.

I sighed. I can't remember. The last time I remembered talking to him was the last time I've decided to not treat him as my father, but even though if that happened, I still can't change everything that he is still my father.

“It's better this way, Mom,”

I heard her sigh. I'm sorry, Mom.

“I understand,” she said before smiling sweetly. “Anyway, please don't forget to visit us if you have time. You can bring your friends here, okay?

“I will.”

After some time, I bid my goodbye already. Allishia even told me that she'll visit me if given a chance and I just nod. Mabilis na pinaandar ko ang sasakyan ko paalis doon, not even wanting to see another glimpse of my father.

It's a good thing that there's no traffic, mabilis akong makakarating sa mall kung nasaan ang mga gunggong. They're probably waiting for me now. Tss.

My eyes widened when a cat suddenly came out of nowhere. I looked behind and hissed. With forehead knotted, I walk towards to the owner of the car who bumped onto mine—or perhaps a driver?

I don't think he owns this car. He's probably a driver.

I looked at it, it was a cheque. I tried to peek on what's inside because the owner is probably inside waiting for his or her driver. But the car was too tinted to even see a glimpse of a person inside.

“Sir?”

It was really blank. What if sulatan ko ng milyon iyon?

“That's—”

“—blank cheque,Sir? It is, Sir. What?

“No, it's fine. May kasalanan naman ako. I can take care of this,” I told him.

“Sigurado ho kayo?

“Just tell your boss that I don't need it.”

I sighed before getting it. He looks relieved because of that before bowing his head and get inside their car. A fucking blank cheque that I can write how many fucking digits I wanted too.

I was froze when I saw a glimpse of who was on the backseat.

“Nashiel..” I whispered while staring at her. It feels like everything was in slow motion while I was staring at her.

She isn't looking at my direction. Fuck!

“Nashiel!”

Fuck! Is that really Nashiel? What if she just look like her? What if that's really her? Fuck!

Whoever she is, I need to do something to see her again.
