Episode 44

Recap: The new year commences. Sanskar's friend Sia comes and Swara feels jealous seeing the close bonding of the two. Sanskar invites Sia for dinner.

EPISODE 44

Swara was helping Sujju set make food and set the table for dinner. Sanskar walks into the kitchen.

Sujju- Sanskar, you seem happy, what's the occasion? Are you happy that you are going to eat Swara's food again?
Swara smiles.

Sanskar- Are nahi mom. Actually, I'm excited that Sia is coming over for dinner.
Swara's smile fades away.

Sanskar- You know, I am meeting her after so long, we have so many things to talk about.

Sujju- Ha beta. When is she coming?
Sanskar checks his watch.

Sanskar- Omg, I should be picking her up now. Ok bye mom. Swara, prepare the dinner nicely. I have a reputation you know.
Sanskar runs out while Sujju laughs. Swara fumes.

Sujju- You know Swara, every time those two are together, they go crazy.

Swara- Ma, they are close right?

Sujju- Yes very. Ok Swara, you go set the table. Sia should be here now.

The Next Scene...

Sia comes over and the whole Maheswari family sit for dinner. Sanskar sits next to Sia while Swara is left with the seat opposite of Sanskar. Swara picks at her food while she watches Sanskar feed Sia and have fun.

Ram- What happened Swara? Not hungry?
Ragini teases Swara.

Ragini- Papa, I think Swara is going on a diet. I think she is gaining some weight and becoming too heavy for Sanskar right?

Sanskar- What? No, Swara your not gaining weight. Teri kamar meri baho mein ekdam perfect hai.
Everyone giggles while Swara blushes.

Sia- Well, if Sanskar is saying that Swara fits perfectly into his arms, then problem solved right? Don't worry Swara, we were just teasing you. Vaise, aunty and uncle, I wanted to take Swara out and show her around the village. Is that okay?

Ram- Of course.

The Next Scene....
Sia, Sanskar, and Swara were walking in the cool night air. Swara was amazed by the serene beauty and silence of the night. She wrapped a shawl around herself and looked around amazed. Sanskar looked and Swara lovingly. (Zaalima from Raes plays in bg).

Jo teri khatir tadpe pehle se hi
Kya usey tadpana o zaalima, o zaalima
Jo tere ishq mein behka pehle se hi
Kya usey behkana o zaalima, o zaalima

Sia notices Sanskar looking at Swara.
Siya- You love her a lot right?

Sanskar- More than I can say.

Aankhen marhaba, baatein marhaba
Main sau martaba deewana huaa
Mera na raha jab se dil mera
Tere husn ka nishana hua

Swara walked up to a lake and looked at the fireflies lighting up the night. Sanskar stood next to her and watched as her hair fluttered in the wind.

Jiski har dhadkan tu ho
Aise dil ko kya dhadkana
O zaalima, o zalima..

Swara looks at Sanskar.
Swara- What?

Sanskar- You.

Swara- Why are you looking at me? Don't you have Sia?
Swara walks away, leaving Sanskar baffled.

Sanskar thinks- Ohhhh, so that explains your attitude today. Mrs. Sanskar Maheswari, you have become jealous.

Sia- Sanskar, is Swara okay? What happened to her?

Sanskar- Sia, Swara is still a child. She is so innocent. She thinks there is something between us.

Sia- What?

Sia laughs- Sanskar, did you tell her what our relationship is? You are like my brother. Sanskar, I even celebrate raksha bandhan with you.

Sanskar laughs- Swara is crazy.

Sia- She loves you too much. Now go to her. Go!

Back at Sanskar's house...

Sanskar- Swara wait!
Swara was pacing back and forth in their room.

Sanskar- Swara...
Sanskar turns Swara towards him. He lifts her face and looks into her eyes.

Sanskar- Swara, I love you and only you.
He bent down, his lips against her cheek, brushing it lightly. That light touch sent shivers through her nerves, shivers that made her whole body tremble.

Sanskar whispered- If you want me to stop, tell me now.
Swara didn't speak, but closed her eyes and felt Sanskar's touch. He brushed his mouth against her forehead.

Sanskar- How about now?
Swara clenched the side of her dress.
He traced the line of her cheekbone.

Sanskar- Now?
Swara could feel the warmth of Sanskar's breath on her cheek. Sanskar looked at Swara's closed eyes and then at her lips, her lower lip trembling a little from the gentleness of his touch. He leaned gently held her cheek and came closer. Swara anticipated for the feel of Sanskar's lips on her own. When no such thing happened, she opened her eyes to see Sanskar standing in front of her with his arms crossed against his chest.

Sanskar- Ur promise. We won't consummate our marriage now.
Swara held Sanskar's collar and pulled him towards herself. The two lips met for the first time. He kissed her gently, but it wasn't gentleness she wanted, not now, not after all this time. Swara knotted her fists in his shirt. Sanskar smiled against her lips and then wrapped his arms around her petite waist, pulling her closer to him. Swara pulled back and slowly let go of her breath with closed eyes.

Swara- Who said kissing would mean consummating a marriage?

Sanskar smiles- So, should we do it again?
