I'm a pushover. Overly so. When someone wants someone I usually just go with it, cause I just don't care. But now I realize that it can harm more then just yourself.
I realized some music was too hard, and I still let it go. I'm in a choir group where we pick music and sing. Smaller groups of maybe 4ish, and more. We were able to pick our own songs, and my friends wanted a piece. I thought we could do it, that it was at least decently easy. So I just complied. Even though I said no, I eventually just let it happen. Back mistake.
I told my group that this will just be a mistake to learn from. That from now on we pick easier music.
After the fact, going to practice with our director and pianist, and we got an easier version. Luckily. Things are all good now, and we have the music we are supposed to.
Learn from our mistakes, pick things that are slightly below your capabilities, then make it sound even better.
