It was the next day after I almost kissed Soda. I was wearing shorts and a plaid shirt tied and with a white tank top on under it. I wore my cowboy boots as usual. Two-Bit actually waited for me this time and didn't leave me like he did yesterday.
I was proud of him. He said that we're hanging out with the gang today until we all go to the Dingo tonight and party with a local ally. They were greasers too but just in the same clique as the gang I was in.
But I was hoping me and Soda can get alone time tonight, I had to tell him something.

Soda's POV

I woke up and got dressed, greased my hair back and made Darry and Ponyboy breakfast. They woke up startled by my energy. Darry had no clue why I sas energetic but Ponyboy had a thought. He kept eyeballing me all morning long.
"What?" I mouth. Ponyboy smirked.

"You know what!" He mouth backed. Darry sat down the newspaper he was holding and frowned, "I hate that I'm gonna miss the Dingo hangout party tonight." Ponyboy looked over at Darry and smiled.
"You're gonna miss a lot!" Ponyboy laughed. Darry gave a funny look towards Pony.
"Yeah I know, don't rub it in though. Hey I'll back after midnight. Pony, don't get smart with Cherry." Darry gave Ponyboy a stern look that made his face bright red. I couldn't help but giggle.
"Awe Darry, you were thirteen when you knocked up that high schooler!" I laughed. Darry shot a look towards me then back to Pony.
"You really think I'll do something like, geez..." Ponyboy mumbled. Darry waved us goodbye and I moved towatds the living room, waiting for the gang to show.

Ponyboy did the dishes and when he was done he came in and walked in front of the tv.
"Poonnyyy!" I groaned, he was smirking and he turned it off. He sighed and sat down beside me on the couch.
"I know you like Macy." Ponyboy said. He gave me the look that I can't even do without laughing. I sat up, trying to change the subject but Pony covered my mouth. "Hey, it's obvious you like her." Ponyboy finished. I shrugged and smiled.

"It's never going to happen. Shoot, she'll leave in two months." I said. Ponyboy nodded and stood up. That's odd, Ponyboy never gives up on a topic that he interested in.
"You have two months, Soda, two months to make her stay. Just don't go home with her. I don't wanna lose you like that." Pony said softly, he turned around and actually meant it. "But, I never thought that I would get with Cherry Valance. But I never let the odds in, I blocked them out. See where it got me?" Ponyboy made a point that made my face burn. Why was my younger brother talking advice? Wow, I was really dumb.

"Fine... but it's too early." I said. Ponyboy smiled and shook his head.
"Nah, Sodapop. Two-Bit and Macy is here." Ponyboy laughed and sat on the chair and picked on his book up. I look over to see Two-Bit and Macy walk in, both laughing and Macy's was the cutest. Steve came in behind them and I leaped off my feet.

"Hey bud!" I said and did a little hand shake with Steve.
"Hey buddy, guess what?" Steve asked. I laughed and punched him in the shoulder.
"What?" I asked. Steve did a little dance.
"Evie is coming with us to the Dingo tonight!" Steve cheered. Everyone looked at me, including Ponyboy. I don't know but he always knew when something hurt me.
"Awe man, you two are still together? Me and Sandy helped you two love birds fall in love right?" I asked. Steve nodded and when he realised that I was hurt by his remark, he quickly changed the subject.

"Well, Macy you're lookin' mighty fine!" Steve laughed. Macy looked towards me and smiled.
"Well I just threw these on." She laughed. I smiled at her, I think she was thinking about last night. I sure was, she was the first girl that I almost kissed after Sandy. Although, sometimes I miss Sandy even though she cheated and got pregnant. But I didn't care, I was willing to help her out with the baby but she ran away, leaving me in the dark.

"I'm here!" Dally called, walking into the house. I frowned a little as he walked right over to Macy. I looked over at Ponyboy for his help. He rolled his eyes and sat the book down on the coffee table.
"Hey Dal, hear 'bout that new thug?" Pony asked. Dally turned right towards him. Ponyboy smirked, "I heard he's the cop's number one most wanted now after what he did." Ponyboy chuckled standing up. Dally stomped over towards Ponyboy. I love that kid and he sure was helpful when needed. He lied like a dog and was good at it too.

"What?" Dally asked all seriousness. Ponyboy backed up.
"There's been a unknown thug goin' around places and stealing things. He's made it past your records. I'll say he's on the books for most wanted in America." Ponyboy said leaving the room. Dally growled and followed Ponyboy to the backyard. In a few minutes I'll soon have to stop a fight between those too. This is how it's gonna play out, Ponyboy isn't going to give Dally enough information, then Dally is gonna throw the first punch. In the end, Dally would end up on the ground. I don't know how Ponyboy does it, with science and math intervened with the reality of punches, Ponyboy will soon learn how to kill people with one single blow to a head or back or some place where people can get knocked out.

"So, Macy, how are you?" I asked to start the converstation.
"I'm good. Whatta 'bout you?" She asked. I couldn't help but give a littke chuckle. She looked beautiful and I couldn't wait for tonight.
"I'm good." I said. Macy smiled amd moved her air out of her face. Two-Bit left for the kitchen bring Steve with them. I was about to ask something but Cherry came rushing in the door smiling.

"Cherry!" Two-Bit yelled from the kitchen. Cherry smiled. She was wearing jeans and a white tank top and a leather jacket. She was definitely a greaser now.
"Hey guys! Where's Pony?" Cherry asked. I pointed out back and Cherry nodded. "You're new. What's your name?" Cherry smiled at Macy and Macy smiled.
"My name is Macy, uhh... Two-Bit's step cousin. I just got here a couple of days ago."

Cherry smiled and shook her head.
"I thought you two were a thing. You're cute together, but my bad." Cherry walked off to the back. Macy tapped my shoulder and frowned.

"We need to take things slow, I'm sorry, I'm not the type to jump into relationships." Macy whispered. She looked down and I wasn't broken or anything. I was happy, I needed time to learn how to flirt again. Boy, I'll tell you, I have lost a lot of my prized character traits when Sandy left me.

Dally, Ponyboy, and Cherry came back inside. I shot them all a friendly smile.
"Who's ready?" Two-Bit asked. He and Steve finished eating the cake, they still had frosting all over their faces. We all nodded and left. I walked with Ponyboy and Cherry while I let Macy walk with Dally. I hope it wasn't going to be like this all day and night.
