Selena's POV

I checked my phone to see what time it was. I was so nervous that I could see my hands shaking. Just five more minutes, and she would be here. It had become darker a little earlier this time, and the night was rather stormy. The moon was nowhere to be seen this time, and it made the place we were last time even darker. My heart was beating out of my chest. I had brought my weapon with me, but I simply didn't know well enough what weapon she preferred. It was as if she tested me for something. What in the world did she test me for?

The wind blew the hair out of my face, as I looked up from the ground. I could see a silhouette coming from the darkness. Walking with her hands in her pockets, at her own pace. It was her of course, I recognized her in the first second. I quickly stood up straight, watching her come closer. Step by step, her beautiful face became clearer. She had a smile on her face that made me tremble even more. I couldn't even bring up to say hello to her. She didn't either. A week long I had waited for this moment, why was I so scared?

"So." She smiled. "What did you bring?" Demi asked right away. She held her hands out of her pockets, looking at what I was hiding behind my back. She was acting like I was so easy to work with. Was I really? I smiled carefully. "Guess." I said, playing with her tricks. She was the one asking for something of me this time. "I'm not a guesser." She shook her head, waiting for me to magically make the weapon appear. She wasn't the only one who was interested in the other. I liked having the power over her for a moment, just to test her. I couldn't help but grin. "Show me." She raised her eyebrows, getting more serious. My smile disappeared, but my interest stayed. And then she said it, the words I was afraid to hear and yet at the same time I kind of hoped to hear. "Show me, or I'll hit you with it." She threatened. Her eyes looked straight into mine, telling me she was serious. Yet it was just for fun, the vibes were all easily readable. She knew what weapon I brought. She knew exactly what I took with me.

My arm swiftly moved away from my back, showing her the cane I had smuggled out of my house. It was about two and a half feet long, made of wood. It contained a handle made of leather. I had bought it at a market. The tip was slightly thinner than the rest of the body. I looked at Demi with wide eyes, as I noticed my heart beating even faster. She looked at the object, while the wind blew through her beautiful hair. "May I?" She asked, looking into my eyes. It was now or never. I nodded, placing the tip on my other hand to give it to her. It was the first time she asked me such a respectful question. It seemed like she didn't want to treat the object recklessly. She carefully took the handle, took a step back and studied the body. "It's beautiful. How many of these do you have?" She asked. Seeing the vision I saw made me forget about everything. Such a wonderful lady, holding a wonderful mighty object. She held a mighty vibe, mightier than ever. I simply stared at her, and at how her hands held the cane. "Aren't you going to answer me?" She said. I looked back up to her face, noticing I indeed wasn't answering her question. "Uh.. t-two." I looked down at the ground. I simply couldn't speak while looking into those brown eyes. I felt too small, but I enjoyed it.

It was then that I felt it, the tip of the thing touching my upper arm. I startled, shoving the thing away in a reflex. "What?" Demi smiled, placing the tip back on the same spot. "I'm just checking its length." She made an excuse, but her sinister smile told me otherwise. I tensed my lips, looking at her. I couldn't help but shove it away again, I was too scared. Too thrilled and excited. I looked at the ground, and this time the tip of the cane raised my chin up. It forced me to look into those fierce eyes with that sinister smile. I exhaled a tensed breath, before shoving the piece away again. She kept pointing it at me, challenging me in a way. I frowned, confused and yet knowing exactly what she was doing. She poked with the tip in my stomach now, making me flinch my shoulders down and grin shortly. She quickly placed the tip back against my chin. My frown quickly returned, and this time I had enough. I grabbed the tip, holding it tight, refusing to let her poke me again. But it seemed as if it was exactly what she wanted. She tried to pull the weapon back. She gave it a snatch, and the force made it slide out of my sweaty hands. That's when my fear reached its peak.
