"Matt, he's too precious. We must protect him."

The brunette shook his head in amusement, opening his fridge to grab the eggs, "You can't adopt him, Foggy."

"You can adopt adults," Foggy said. "I'm going to go ask him."

"Foggy, no," Matt grabbed his arm, keeping him back. "Don't ask him that. Let's just make him breakfast and then tell him why he's here. I'm sure he's uncomfortable right now."

"Well, considering he's drooling on your couch, I beg to differ."

That stopped the brunette and he tilted his head, "He's what? Huh, he fell asleep fast. Maybe I really should have waited until noon..."

Foggy shook his head and patted his friend's shoulder, "Too late, dude. Let's just make his eggs and maybe get him another cup of coffee while we're at it."

The pair of best friends quickly got Percy's breakfast ready, working seamlessly around each other. When they were done, they woke up the Avenger, who went straight for the coffee first. Foggy watched and Matt listened as he drained half the fairly large cup in one breath.

"Alright," Percy reached for the plate of food, waving one hand in the air lazily. "I'm awake. What am I here for?"

Matt sighed, sitting on the couch once more next to Foggy, "I got intel on a kidnapping ring. When I went there yesterday, there were about forty men and twenty or so children."

"Ah," The demigod nodded slowly, taking a small sip of his coffee. His eyes turned cold and he made a movement with his hand, enough for Matt to pick up, to signal for him to continue. "There's something else."

"I think the Russians are part of it. I heard them talking about moving the children to Russia after the transactions were completed."

"I thought the Russians were all taken out after the bombings and Vladimir's death. I mean, that's what you told me at least."

"That's what I thought too," Matt ran a hand down his face, sighing softly. "But it seems like they just needed time to get back on their feet after their leader was taken out."

Percy put his cup down on the coffee table, "Alright, so, I'm guessing we're going to make a plan before we attack tonight?" He paused, "Please tell me you were going to make a plan before you attacked."

Matt tilted his head and was about to answer when Foggy spoke up, "Matt doesn't plan shit."

The demigod dropped his head in exasperation, "Lucky I'm here then. Okay, first I'm going to need..."

7: 27pm

"Ugh, man, you're so lucky I knew you were calling me for your vigilante thing," Percy said as he picked up the duffle bag he had came in with that morning. He opened it, revealing the outfit he wore as Halo. Since the incident with the bomb, there had been upgrades made to it. There was a tight black long sleeved shirt and black pants, the trousers having multiple pockets for his weapons and trusty pen. Over the shirt went a dark colored chest piece, a similar design to what the Greeks wore, that Tony had made with gold titanium alloy. His mask was still the same, dark in color and covering the bottom half of his face.

"That's so cool," Foggy said after Percy had changed. He couldn't help but feel giddy when he realized that there were two superheroes in front of him and he knew both of them. If only his bullies in high school could see him now...

Percy raised an eyebrow at Matt's Daredevil outfit and snorted, "Kinky. Alright, we ready to head out?"

Matt ignored his comment and nodded, "Ready. We shouldn't be gone too long, Foggy."

"Okay," The blonde nodded, wringing his hands together, "Just... Be careful, okay?"

"We will."

The two heroes quickly left out the roof top door, moving silently through the night. It took them fifteen minutes to get to the warehouse near the docks and they could hear soft murmurs of people talking, some in English and some in Russian.

"Well," Halo said quietly, crouching low on the roof of another building, peering down. "You weren't wrong about there being Russians. It looks like they're not waiting for anyone right now." His eyes narrowed as he tried to peer into a window dimly lit by the lights inside, "Some of them are even playing cards. I count about nine from what I see. How many are on the first floor."

Daredevil tilted his head, his mouth set in a thin line, "Your number wasn't that off. I can hear thirteen downstairs, nineteen on the second floor. If we-" He stiffened, "Someone's up here with us."

Halo gave a slight nod, "I know. We need to move. Now."

They had to jump up quickly as the person brought down a steel pipe where they just were. They made a dissatisfied grunt when the two managed to scale down to ground level and hide in the shadows.

"It's a trap," Daredevil tilted his head to listen as a lot of the men inside were loading their weapons and giving out orders. "They knew we'd be here."

"Correction, they knew you'd be here. I'm just a pretty accessory."

"Is now really the time for that?"

"There they are!" Someone shouted followed by the sounds of guns cocking.

Halo grinned under his mask, "Nope!" He ran straight for the men and women, ducking into a roll as guns went off. He sprung up and uppercut one man, swinging his leg around to kick another in the face. From the corner of his eye he could see Daredevil holding his own fairly well, taking down people in quick succession.

The people just kept coming and the two heroes were quickly tiring out. They couldn't stop though- stopping equaled death because they were pretty sure their enemies wouldn't be kind enough to give them a breather or two. Percy was bleeding in several places and he knew he was going to have a nasty bruise on his face where someone landed a lucky punch. From what he could see, Matt wasn't going to be any better than him, maybe worse with how the people were heading more for him than Percy.

"Shit," Halo's eyes widened when he saw a man slam a tire iron across Daredevil's face, sending him sprawling to the ground. "No, get up!" He tried to get to him but the men and women converged on him, keeping him back. He took down three more men before he realized that they weren't aiming to find out Daredevil's identity.

"No!" Halo screamed when they plunged Daredevil's head underwater. He kicked a woman in the stomach, causing her to slam into a man and bring both of them down, and tried to get to Matt. He was maybe forty feet away before his body jerked three times as the sound of gun fire went off. Pain raced through his body and he could already feel his blood seeping into the fabric of his shirt. He dug his hands into the ground, fighting to keep his eyes open when the agony made him want to pass out.

It was just Percy and Daredevil and- Oh, gods, Percy was going to die and he couldn't... Percy was going to die and it didn't matter because he had to- He had to save Daredevil. He had to! Matt couldn't die, not when he-

Daredevil was brought up for air and the hero clawed at the people's hands, looking scared despite still having his mask on. He looked like he was shouting for help but Percy couldn't hear anything as he tried to separate his mind from his body.

With great effort, Halo lifted a shaking hand to his ear, tapping the com, "H-Hawk..eye..." He grimaced in pain, screwing his eyes shut, "Back... Up... Now!" He dropped his hand, opening one eye to look at Matt as they put him under water again.

He had to help, he had to.

The son of Poseidon lifted his hand and the water burst. Daredevil was sprawled on the dock while the other's were thrown into the water and that was all Percy saw before lost all sensation everything went black.
