Last night, She was in the bathroom
Staring into the mirror
Tears streaming down her face
Mascara on her cheeks
A hand over her mouth to muffle the sounds of gasps
The sound of breaking glass
In her soul and her heart
She was crying simply because her mother had yelled at her
But it wasn't that simple, not for her
Her mother had told her she was almost proud
Almost
Then she messed up again
Her phone buzzes
Its her boyfriend
The one she is madly in love with
The one she felt drifting away, losing feelings
The one she had gotten into a fight with earlier that day
She read the text and fell to the ground
Her tears became quicker
Her cry became a little louder
The boy she was madly in love with finally decided he was done
She was just too much to handle
He said it was his life that was too much, that he didn't need a distraction
But why couldn't he understand that having him as her distraction was the only thing making her even slightly okay
Her dad was gone
Her mind was going
Her mom didn't care
That's if you can even consider her a mom
Yelling, fighting, screaming
That's what she came home to everyday
Now she doesn't even have a home
She has no real family
No one that sees how broken she really is
No one that cares enough to make sure she's okay
And she wasn't
