I walked into the compound alone. 

Suddenly dad came out of a room with an arm around Kai's shoulders. 

I raised an eyebrow and asked carefully "what is this?"

Kai "Your dad and i are going out for a drink"

My jaw dropped "you and my dad? You? with my dad?"

Dad nodded "of course."

I looked at him "Since when do you care about who i am with?"

Dad "since the day you were born"

I looked at Kai "did he compel you? because if he did then you need to tell me"

Dad and Kai chuckled which made my jaw drop. 

Kai walked to me and gave me a peck on the lips "You're funny"

I looked at him "could you give me and my dad a sec? please?"

Kai nodded "sure"

HE looked at dad "I'm gonna wait outside"

Dad nodded and Kai left. My dad smiled. 

Me "okay, what did you do to him?"

Dad "i didn't do anything"

I raised my eyebrows "so you suddenly like him?"

Dad "I've always liked him, princess"

I looked around and saw my aunt sitting there with a dropped jaw. 

I looked at Dad "The first thing you did when i told you that i was dating him was....Dad, you bit him! and not even 4 months later you're both ready to go out and have a drink together or what?"

Dad sighed "Mistake's have been made"

Me "You refused to heal him till i agreed to stop seeing him."

Dad "i made mistakes"

I scoffed. 

Dad "but things changed"

Me "things like what?"

Dad "i accept him now"

Me "and why?"

Dad "because i know he would die for you"

I froze. 

Dad nodded "it's true. He said it himself. If it comes down to you or another person  - you or himself...he'll gladly get killed for you. And that's what i call a relationship. That's how he earned my respect"

Me "i love him, Dad"

Dad nodded "i know. And now if you would excuse me, i gotta go"

Then he walked past me out. 

I turned to my aunt. 

Rebekah "What the bloody hell i was that?"

Me "My boyfriend and my dad are besties now"

Rebekah "Nik's gonna kill him"

I nodded "i know"
