Hide And Seek With The Devil

~Chapter VII~

"If you won't say it within these two days I will replace you" She hissed and the brown haired boy's eyes raises to pin her form with this bright orange color of them. How dared she speak of words like these? No one could replace him. Dorothy was his toy to play with and no one had the right to take this job out of his hands.

"You can't. No one's as powerful as I am"

"Don't you bet, I've already practiced a couple of guards and believe me.. I've found what I needed. "

"He must prove that he's better though.. -"

"A fight it is then, unless you're scared of losing. " Her pink lips crawled up to a wider smirk and her hands crossed over her chest softly. She was too confident of herself and the strength of the other guard. At least, the new one wouldn't be such a pain and would follow her orders immediately, unlike someone else. She needed someone to obey not do exactly the opposite of what she say.

"Alright then... Tomorrow I'll be looking forward to destroy who dares to call themselves better than me " He only replied with a clear smile of anger on his face. The princess would only giggle and wave back at him as she turned around. She knew that he was mad and she would cause more anger if she could but she didn't find anything worse than throwing him out of there.

"Good luck with that, my dear~" She murmured with a victorious giggle and closed the door behind her without even touching it. Sue's expression remained the same. How could she find a new guard? She was bluffing... But, she never bluffed. Sue would only stay in silence before he stand up and open the door once more. He had to relax, not there obviously. To the whole way to his room he would scan the hallways, as if he was searching for something but...he wasn't. He wanted to remember every moment he had in there with Dorothy but he couldn't. He didn't want her to stay with someone else. Someone who called themselves stronger than him and worthy to protect her.  He couldn't even think that there was a small possibility of him losing. Snapping out of his thoughts he tightened his fists inside the suit's pockets and gave a hard punch to the wall beside him,

"I will show her who's the strongest of them all... " He hummed to himself after taking a breath. The base of his fingers became pink cause of the punch but he couldn't sense any pain. At this time the only thing he could feel was anger. Anger that was making him blind. He wished this wall was Priscilla's face to be honest. He really wished it but he had to see the reality and think of what to do. After all these thoughts he walked straight to his room, shutting the door behind. Dorothy would be sleeping by now, probably. The minutes were passing by fast,with the silence of the room helping Sue think of how to face the new guard. Suddenly, he felt a weird sensation on his lower torso as if someone was pushing him downwards or...someone was sitting on him. And that someone was Ai. His eyes opened only to look up at her in surprise.

"I told you to never mess with my game or life again... "

"I wanted to apologize... I shouldn't have talk to you about her.. "

"Your apology is accepted, can you stand up now? " He wasn't in the mood to argue with her too at the moment. His expression was cold and the smirk on his face was almost about to fade away.

"First.... I want to ask something but... Please don't get mad" The blue haired girl spoke silently as her blue eyes looked away. Someone could say she was too nervous or shy to ask what she had in mind.

"I won't..... Now continue, I'm trying to rest" He was clearly not amused and tried to hear what she had to say and tell her to leave.

"Alright, do you like this human girl? "

"Why should I? Humans are...brainless, toys, Ai.. " It was then that she would only crawl down onto his bed to take a seat beside him. Lately he was acting so different so... He must had a crush on someone else. Realization came over when a fade pink color appeared on her cheeks as she thought of the one he may be interested on and she moved away. Was, the one he had crush on, her? She froze for a second.

"You really think I get mad that easily? "He broke the silence with a smirk and looked up at her. His dark brown bangs falling on his eyes as always but he would never brush them away.

"Yeah.. But anyways I should leave -" Ai tried to avoid getting more embarrassed of the situation and stood up only to get hold back by his hand.

"Before you leave... I want to ask for a favor." He breathed out as she looked down at him. She knew something was happening since he was too 'kind' to her. Was it because he truly found her interesting or was it because he wanted to mess with Priscilla's plans and he needed her help again?

"Go on? "

"Priscilla said she found a new guard to 'replace' me, you obviously know that it can't happen.... So, I want it to be quick and you can replace the guard with these abilities of yours and pretend you're him" He gave her a bright smile, teeth not showing but still she could say she was again disappointed, yet she expected it. He always asked for help when he had to do something to Priscilla. This time though, her reaction wasn't like the other times. Did he believe that she was easy to fall? Really? She had powers no one had, every demon was different yet it seemed like he called her weak.

"So you're saying I'm easy to lose? Really now, Sue? "

"Look, depending on me or on this guard...... Yes"

"I can't believe this" Ai huffer in frustration and pulled her hand away from his grip, walking to the door. When Sue tried to hold her back by standing up and following her, she gave him a death glare before hissing "I will think about it... " She knew Sue was over stepping some borders but this time was way different. He went too far. The demoness shut the door behind her with a loud thud and leaned against it, taking a silent huge inhale. She had to think of what you do with this prideful side of Sue.
