* Bea's POV *
"Ah, it's cold.."
A small sigh escapes my lips just as I heard Maddie sneezed for the nth time.
"I texted you na nga to just wait for me eh. Hindi ka talaga marunong makinig." I continue to rant, not bothered by the fact that she just bit her lower lip to stop herself from saying anything. "Tignan mo, basang-basa ka tuloy."
I freaking told her to just wait for me at her classroom na lang since it's raining hard tapos hindi ko pa alam kung may dala ba s'yang payong. Knowing Madeleine, madalas ballpen at yung filler n'ya for that subject lang dala n'yan pag pumapasok.
It didn't help pa na medyo malayo rin yung pinag-parkan ko ng sasakyan ko since kakagaling ko lang sa last class ko eh our building is far from hers pa. Isa pa, wala naman talaga akong plano na kitain s'ya or what.
Binilin lang kasi s'ya sa'kin ni Trey bago s'ya umuwi. She bumped into me pa nga kanina sa sobrang pagmamadali. May sakit daw kasi yung younger sister n'ya tapos naiwan pang mag-isa sa bahay nila. Turns out na turn pala nila ngayon ni Maddie to do grocery shopping. She asked me to help Maddie in her place and I obliged. Wala namang kaso 'yun. Besides, hanging out with the girls for a little while at the dorms is also part of my daily routine. It wouldn't hurt to do a little errand for them anyway.
"I told you rin naman na it's okay if we would meet halfway na lang. Alam ko na malayo ang building mo. Hassle kung pupuntahan mo pa ako all the way sa building namin. Besides, may payong naman po ako." Maddie explains.
"Nakatulong ba yung napaka-laki mong payong?" I ask sarcastically, continuing to dry her face with my handkerchief.
Binida pa sa'kin yung payong n'yang pang-bata.
"Sorry na." She pouts making me sigh.
I cursed outloud nung nakita ko s'yang naglalakad under the heavy rain, not minding kahit basang-basa na s'ya.
"Tigas talaga ng ulo mo, Madeleine Yrenea." I say, clicking my tongue at her.
"Sorry na, Bei." She says, smiling a little at me. "Wag ka na magalit."
"What if you get sick? Huh? Naisip mo ba 'yun?" I growl.
She was about to answer me but she sneezed again. I throw my handkerchief at her lap sa inis. Alam namang may bagyo ngayon pero naka manipis na shirt lang s'ya tapos short shorts. Alam kong nagdo-dorm s'ya but bringing a jacket won't hurt naman. Napaka-lamigin pa naman ng babaing 'to.
Seriously, this girl!
Kanina ko pa pinatay ang air con pero it's still not helping. I can see goosebumps on Maddie's arms. Not to mention her lips are pale and quivering probably because of the cold.
"Shit talaga." I curse under my breath as I grab my sports bag at the back seat. I hand her my extra shirt. It's actually a muscle shirt but it's better than to let her stay in her wet shirt. I also hand her my extra running shorts since basa rin yung maong shorts n'ya. She is that drenched. "Wear this."
I was about to open my car door when she stops me. "Where are you going?"
"Out."
"I know, duh." She rolls her chinky eyes at me and kung hindi lang seryoso yung sitwasyon baka nginitian ko na s'ya. "What I'm asking is why."
"You asked me where I was going, Maddie." I smirk. Screw it.
"Pilosopo." She glares at me a little. "Fine. Bakit ka lalabas?"
