"Bea, more power ah!" Coach Tai yells as I sprint towards the service area. It's always funny how Coach calls my name since he says it like 'Be-yuuh'. There's always an allotted time for practicing the service since the game can't really start if hindi makakapasok or makakatawid yung bola sa other side. And besides, a good service can rattle the defense of the other team as well as earning points through aces. Masisira rin yung momentum ng kalaban kaya enough reasons to give time practicing on serving the ball.
I spike the ball with more power like Coach Tai instructed and after five more tries, he finally seemed satisfied and moved on to the next player after me which is ate Kiwi.
I proceed on where my seniors are and umupo sa tabi ni Jia. She offers me water which I gladly accepted. "Grabe na baby besh yung mga palo mo ah, grabe na yung karga."
I give ate Ells a small smile before taking big gulps on Ji's water. "Still have a lot to learn, ate Ells."
"Humble talaga ni Idol Be-yuuh." Mich laughs, imitating Coach Tai.
"Yan tayo, Michifu eh. Kaya ka pala favorite ni Coach kasi kayo talaga nagkaka-intindihan." Ate Ells chuckles. "Anyway, ano nga pala yung kumakalat na chismis Beadel?"
"Alin dun, ate? Yung samin ni Jia or yung samin ni Jho?" Umiling pa ako as I laugh, nudging Jia who smacks me on my arm. "'Cause I can guarantee that those rumors aren't true."
"Sus, kaya pala nakita ko yung pictures mo sa phone ni Jia. Grabe, pang model eh!" Mich says.
"Uy, anong pictures yun?" Tanong ni ate Ells.
"Yung photoshoot nya sa Getblued." Mich answers. "Grabe, Donya. Iba si idol."

"Iba talaga pag magandang-gwapo eh no? Lakas mo rin eh. Pero kay Maddie ka naman pine-pair up ngayon. Si Maddie raw girlfriend mo." Ate Ells says, catching me off guard.
"Ay, san mo naman narinig yan ate? Si ate Ells talaga, puro chismis."
"Kay Gaston. So yes or no?"
"Awow." I laugh. Pano ba naman kasi, nakatingin sakin halos buong team. "There's Maddie oh, why don't you ask her?"
Akma namang pupuntahan ni ate Ells si Madz when nahawakan ni ate Den yung braso ni ate Ells. "Ops, ops. San ka pupunta Jorella? Receiving and digging na tayo."
Since isa si ate Ella sa team na magaling din mag-receive at mag-dig kaya pina-practice pa sya lalo nina Coach since sya yung aasahan sa likod kapag labas si ate Den.
Ate Ells frowns. "Putspa, ayoko nun!" Natawa naman kami sa maktol ni ate Ells. Sino ba namang may gusto nun? Bukod sa nakakapagod na, masakit pa sa katawan. I'm sure na kung papa-piliin nga kami kung training na yun or lifting weights, we'd pick the latter.
Pero running or lifting? Lifting agad syempre.
"Walang ayaw-ayaw, Jorella." Sabi ni ate Den at hinila na si ate Ells. She turned around to smile and wink at me. Hala, she knows na rin pala!
As if on cue, ate Ly back hugs me. She even rests her chin on my shoulder. Napaghahalataang may nagawang kasalanan kaya naglalambing si Captain! "Sorry, Bei. I ended up telling Dennise about your secret relationship with Maddie. Nag-selos kasi sya sayo then sinuyo ko na't lahat, wala pa rin. Pero nung sinabi ko naman na sakanya, she felt bad and promised na she would also help you."
I laugh. "No need na, ate Ly. Maddie's starting to come out na rin so sooner or later, everyone will know eventually."
"Talaga? So Maddie really did tell Ther?"
