Chapter 55; The scares of being a mother

Cont. from chapter 54.

Spencer POV

I look up from my phone scared as crap
Toby looks at me concerned "Spencer? Are you okay?"

"No, look at this!"

I show him the text "What if A hurts my child!"

"Okay, calm down it was just a text, Your a mom anything bad about your kid is going to scare you, A knows that, nothing is going to happen, A is just trying to scare you."

"Are you sure? because now I am scared to let her go.. What if something does happen to her!? Then I am going to feel terrible, because I knew and did nothing about it."

He put his hand on my shoulder
"Listen, it is going to be okay, calm down, you are going to hurt yourself, you can't be acting like this while your pregnant."
he reaches down and locks my phone

"Just stay off of your phone, and stop thinking about okay?"

I look at him "Okay, I'll try, but it really is a lot harder then you think."

"Well if it that hard I will keep your phone, for the safety of our daughter and you, you cannot be acting like this, and you are going to scare Penny."
He takes my phone

"Okay, I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Just clam down."

"I'll try."

-2 hours later-

They take Penelope back for surgery and I have to stay in the room of course. My parents came and got Mason and Kylene they stayed at their house for a while so we didn't have to watch them with Penny being here at the hospital, after they take her I look at Toby with tears running down my face

Toby looks at me "Spencer? are you okay?"

I shake my head no "What if something does happen to her!?"

Toby comes up to me hugging me "Spencer, I told you not to worry, everything is going to be okay."

"But I'm still scared! that's my baby in there! And shes getting threatened by A now too!" I started breathing really heavy and freaking out

He put his arms on my shoulders
"Spencer calm down, You need to breathe and relax. You acting like this is not good for you or the baby."

"I can't!"

"Well you need to try." He has me sit down and he starts rubbing my back trying to get me to relax, which helps some.

-About an hour later-

Penelope comes back from surgery

The doctor looks at us
"The surgery went well, she should be awake soon, we will then cast her leg up and she will be able to leave!"
The doctor says

"Thats great, thank you so much doctor!" I say

"Yes, thank you!" Toby also says

"your welcome." the doctor says then leaves

Toby walks over to me
"See honey, I told you she would be fine."

"I know, I was just was just scared!"

"I know, but I told you everything was going to be okay."

"I know, and you were right."

He hugged her again, and soon Penny woke up and We go over to her

"Hi honey, how are you feeling?" I ask

"My leg still hurt!" She says

"I'm sorry honey."

"It will get better soon." Toby says

The doctor soon walks in
"Hi Penny! How are you feeling?"

"My leg hurts."

"I know, it will feel better soon, lets get a cast on your leg so you can go home."

"Ok."

"What color do you want? We have Pink, Purple, blue, green, orange, and red."

"I want purple!"

"Okay sweetie." She goes and gets the stuff for the cast and carefully wraps it.

"You will have a wheel chair, and crutches, but you get to go home now! That's exciting right?"

"Yeah.."

"Thank you for everything." Toby says

"Yes, you were so nice to her, thank you." I say

"Your welcome! I will see you guys back in a couple weeks for a check up on her leg, I hope all is well until then."

We then go pick up Kylene and Mason and head home
