Chapter 54; Theres never a dull moment in the Cavanaugh family

Toby POV

We soon arrive at the Emergency Room, when we got there they put Penny in a small room and we wait for a doctor, we have all our sledding clothes off and Penny was sitting on my lap and Spencer had Mason and Kylene was sitting in the chair next to her

The Doctor walks in

"Hi Penelope." she says walking in smiling

"Hi." She says still crying

I wipe up her tears and try to calm her down

The doctor sits down and looks at Spencer and I.

"So what brought you guys in here today?"

"We were sledding, well the girls and my husband were, sledding and the. girls went down and someone else came slamming into them landing on her, she has been crying that her leg hurts and she can't walk, and can hardly move it." Spencer answers

"Ow, okay lets look at her."

The doctor does normal check up things, then she starts moving her leg certain ways Penny crying each time.

"Okay, sweetie I am going to take you for some x-rays, I have a feeling it is broken." The doctor says after

"Okay." I say and I carry her back and she gets x-rays.

Spencer POV

Toby just went back with Penelope to get x-ray, I am so scared that her leg is going to be broken, which is not something I need right now.

They come back about 10 minutes later

"Well according to the x-rays, we see her leg in broken in two places, one at her knee, and then in her lower leg."
The doctor walks back in and says

"So is it going to put in a cast?" I ask even though I already know it's a yes

"Yes, she will also need surgery in her knee, and pins temporally put in to hold the bones together while the heal, and will be pulled out after it is healed, she will be casted from her thigh to her foot, for 6-8 weeks."

I looked shocked "Wow, I was not expecting that."

"Yes, I'm sorry to have to tell you, But she will also need to stay the night tonight for the surgery and then the cast will be put on and she should be able to leave tomorrow."

"Okay, thank you."

Soon after they take us to her room and she gets all settled in and put an iv in her to run pain meds and anything else she might need

"It will be about an hour or two before we take her in for surgery." The nurse tells us

"Thank you."

Not even a minute later I get a text, I look down and read it.

'Awh your poor baby needs surgery, wouldn't it suck of something went wrong during it, harming her forever? Better hope nothing does.. - -A'

Authors note; Haha and thats the end of this chapter, people have been begging me to update! I'm sorry I was at photoshoots all day!
