The blue and black ninja walked side by side down the dark streets of Ninjago. The two of them were currently on a mission, until Jay suggested they pick up some coffee, and due to how tired jay looked, Cole had to agree. It was either that or risk the possibility of Jay falling asleep on another mission.

they sat at a booth in the basically empty coffee shop, Cole drinking a hot chocolate, and Jay drinking a sweet iced tea, and chewing on a blueberry muffin.

"I thought we came here to get you coffee?" Cole asked jokingly.

"Iced tea is better." Jay answered with a smile. Jay picked a blueberry off his muffin and threw it into the air, catching it with his mouth. He grinned at cole for approval. Cole gave him an unimpressed look and rested his head on his hands, and glared into space, lost his thoughts.

"You ok?" Jay asked, causing Coles almost closed eyes to open wide.

"Mm.. yeah, just tired I guess." Cole mumbled taking a sip of his hot chocolate.

"You should've got a coffee." Jay joked.

Cole ignored him and went back to his slumped tired state. He lifted up his cup to drink out of it.

Jay grinned playfully and snatched the cup from Coles hand. Cole raised his head up and glared at the blue ninja.

"Give me back my drink motermouth." Cole demanded, he reached for his cup. Jay pulled away and stood up from the booth, getting ready to run away.

"You better not." Cole glared at him, realizing what jays next move was. Jay dashed out of the coffee shop grinning wide while cole chased after him.

"Jay!" Cole whined. He did not have the energy to catch him right now. Jay purposely slowed down after realizing cole couldn't keep up. Cole reached him and grabbed his hot chocolate back.

"Hehe, slowpoke." Jay teased him. Cole stood silent, not bothering to send back an insult.

Jay looked at him concerned. "You ok?"

"Just tired." He shrugged. Jay kept quiet, despite feeling that cole wasn't telling the truth.

Jay was right, Cole wasn't just tired. He had fallen emotional distant ever since he realized his true feeling for the blue ninja. He had a crush on Jay Walker, and he couldn't help it. He wanted badly to tell Jay that he was harbouring feeling for him, but was fearful he'd just ruin the friendship they had. So w stayed quiet, his heart breaking a little bit more every time he saw Jay.

"Lets go meet up with the others." Jay suggested. Cole nodded and followed the one he was secretly pining for.
