In the meantime, at the manor, the seconds became minutes and the minutes half an hour when a concerned expression marked a blue haired girl's, covered with bangs, face. She was wearing a white dress with a black shirt above it. A black tie was tied on the collar of her dress, black stockings that reached above her knee and her high knee boots were covering her feet.
She was young...too young to walk around the yard where Sue and these monsters were hiding behind these walls, but she seemed to not care. Her name was Ai, she was as 'playful' as Sue and one of the closest friends of his as well. Loving to find new ways to mess around the place was her thing and her opinion for other people was exactly the same as Sue's.
They were too boring.
She was wandering around the house's front yard, looking around as if she was waiting for someone. Dorothy hadn't return yet, obviously, when the young girl noticed the dark brown haired teen walking by. With a swift move, she rushed to him and held his hand by the upper arm.
"Hello there~Do you mind helping me with something? It's pretty important "
She breathed out while smiling nervously
"I want to see how the princess is, Ai.. Not now" He simply said, by princess he meant Dorothy. He would call her like this, most of the time for...reasons, as he explained to her when he had been asked.
Ai left a disappointed sigh and bit her bottom lip while looking at the other. She really seemed to be anxious and...scared? Was that a hint of weakness after all, for her? Sue finally placed his hand onto the doorknob and with a small move he opened it. At the time he stepped inside the house he paused for a second only to widen his eyes. His usually calm and confident look seemed to get darker.
"What have you done? "
He didn't break his smile, even though this time it was an angry one. He turned back to look at Ai and he would almost glare at her if he didn't want to keep that smile on his face in every situation he faced. The girl could clearly sense his aura darkening and...to be honest she had messed things up and she knew it. Sue was furious.
"Nothing... I...just let Dorothy go...for...you know..a walk~"
"Nice~... Now go find her and bring her back"
"But, I can't search every-"
"You ruined my game and you are going to fix it, understood?"
"I won't.. "
"You have twenty four hours to find and bring her back to me... Or else.. "
These were the only words that had been spoken by the two and she knew she had to do it..she wanted to play, yet not to deal with someone more powerful than her. Her eyebrows made a frown but soon growled
"Fine.. "
She hissed and turned around to start searching. Her hands were making a fist and her blue eyes closed for a second just to rest and start her task. But.. there was an other problem.. Where should she go search first? She had to start soon since she would have only twenty four hours to find her.
On the other hand, Sue walked back into the house. He knew Ai too well to know that from the time he let her in the house with Dorothy, she would cause a lot of trouble to his plans. How could she do that and how could she make Dorothy trust her since she had never seen her before? Because Ai wasn't even a human. A demon who could change forms and be whoever she pleases was his constant worry about the whole thing. He shouldn't had let her be in the house, yet he couldn't 'take care' of Dorothy himself today. His absence caused him to lose Dorothy and he couldn't blame anyone than himself. A silent sigh left his lips.
"I'm going to kill that demon.. "
He murmured silently and sat on the chair of his wooden desk. His room had pulled curtains, sunlight was never welcomed there. His brown bangs were hiding his orange colored eyes, as he closed them and raised his eyebrows.
Silence. He was never used to it. The thought of Dorothy's absence was always a nightmare of his. It brought shivers down his spine and at this time he had to stay calm and wait for that idiotic friend of his to bring her back. Why did he feel so empty though? He didn't know. Jumping out of his thoughts, he stood up and walked to his bookshelf to take an old book. After a second, he was laying on his bed, a creaking sound made by the woods of it and the man opened the cover to start reading.
Slowly and painfully the minutes and hours were passing by. The time was now limited and Ai had only few minutes or maybe an hour to find Dorothy, yet she had no clue of where else to go. Suddenly, an idea came to her mind and started running to the nearest, of the mansion, park. She would blame herself if Dorothy was there, only because it was the only place the older girl may would go and the only place Ai didn't search for her... When she arrived, after a few seconds, she looked around with no sight of her. The edgy-like girl sat on a bench and sighed in disappointment.
'He's going to kill me... '
She thought for a second and laid back before looking up to the dark sky and back to the small playground that the park had. Suddenly her look had been pinned onto a lolly-styled dressed girl. The colors of her hair was exactly the same with Dorothy's and...she was truly her! With a bright smile, she stood up quickly, but how would she make her go back to the mansion, a place that she had started to hate after all these years?
"He told me to bring her back...but did not say how I can to do that~
Let the game continue then~"
She breathed out only for herself to hear and a playful smile formed on her face. Ready for the second part of her game, even though Sue had warn her, she wouldn't listen to him
She never did.
